I like it so far

Albeit I haven't gotten that far yet

Great app to learn how to play and refine your skills!

Radical app

I have lichess and I’m not great at it so I had a pretty low rating number even though I’ve been playing for a while. After completing just the easy section on the magnus app, the way I thought about chess was completely changed and games that I would never have won before have become extremely easy to me. My rating has already gone up over 200 points and it still on an upwards trend! Some of the games are a little bit weird in my opinion, but the lessons and the rajas riddles are very intuitive, interactive, and helpful!

The best app for learning and training your chess skills! So simple to learn and entertaining

Great but one suggestion!

Casinorider

I really like this app. I like that it goes from complete beginner to really complex tactics so everyone can benefit. The one thing I wish it did though is this... I wish it annotated and emailed you the game annotation when you play Magnus. It’s difficult to go back and analyze what I did right or wrong and get feed back from others especially since I often am playing on the go and may not have access to my own log book and certainly don’t have Magnus’ memory lol overall though, I like it.

Great app for teaching chess, to a point

Mangus Trainer is a great app. Easy to use interface, great design, and it has helped me recognize strategic situations in chess, and has helped improve my chess skills. It has made me more conscious of my gameplay. The problem is mangus trainer only helps to a point. After understanding where a fork should be used over a pin, or when to go for a check, the user is left blank. The app does not even offer suggestions. In addition, nothing in the app is very tailored to the user. Like yeh “statistics” are offered but the app has no idea what my actual gameplay is like in chess. It only knows how i do in croc hunter or if I have viewed the “rank mate” lesson. For this reason, I would say Mangus trainer is really geared towards beginners or early intermediate players, which I was at one point and this app helped me. The membership only helps with the extra lessons, which are cool but again only sometimes helpful as mentioned by the “beginner/intermediate” comment, and the extra lives, which I didn’t have much of a problem with in the first place. Some mini games also are pointless. For example, Poker Face has the person compare the values of certain combinations of pieces to another set of pieces, and say if the value is greater than, less than, or equal. Well one of the lessons later on even states that pieces cant really be given set values, and that position and use is key in really determining how much something is worth. But the app wants me to “strengthen my foundational skills” by being able to compare values quickly. Overall, good app. Really did help me in some ways. Would suggest. But only helps to a point, in which the user is left to go find other methods to get better. Suggestion to the developers: Have Play Mangus and Mangus Trainer be more connected. At least have the “beat mangus 7” challenge on Mangus Trainer be able to be completed in Play Mangus. It would also be cool if Play Mangus could analyze your gameplay, and relay that information to Mangus Trainer. Also, in the lessons tab, it seems like the “For You” section is kind of pointless. Like it has lessons you have viewed recently, or new lessons, but does not have suggested lessons or anything really to do with you.

Pour moi le chess est un jeu qui développe l'esprit et il serait nessecaire à toussent d'apprendre à le jouer afin d'avoir un autre moyen de penser

Great App, but One Problem

MrMaster0416

Love the app, but it’s clear that there are still some bugs and improvements to roll out, and one of those (I think) is the basic pawn cabin fever. I like trying to three-star levels, and this one seems impossible to three-star. I can only get two stars, and it keeps making me think I’ve missed something in the level. But every time I replay it, it’s just the same. If this is a bug, then the next update should include a fix. If it’s not a bug, and I’m just missing something, then let me know that I’m dumb. Thanks!
