Keeps crashing!

Mi The Great

I recently started playing this game, but have become so frustrated with it that I rarely access it and I’m considering deleting it altogether. App will load (sometimes) but not let me start a match, or it will crash in the middle of the match. This happens 2 or 3 times and I quit trying. I use iPad and iPhone to try and play, but the same thing happens over and over. If you use Apple products, just don’t waste your time. Sad, because it might have been fun to play.

Lost all its fun

Hey, I’ve played this game for a long time. I’ve played it on Android, and IOS. I’ve spent a lot of money on this game and I feel sick about it now. This game has gone completely to pay to play. Everything cost money if you want good cards to turn the tides. And with all the infinite loops they have now it’s just gotten ridiculous, and frustrating to play which is really sad. Any game that has a VIP monthly Subscription to access the good cards, and to keep up with the paying customers, you can forget it.

Very fun experience, with a few bugs

Espeonkins

Overall very much enjoyed this game. Flavor and feel remains pretty faithful to the card game and they do a great job adapting the mechanics of a card game to the “match 3” type puzzle game. There are a few bugs here and there, but not enough to detract from an overall positive experience. Some of the bugs involve cards/abilities that don’t work as intended, or less often, cause the game to crash. That said, the team is usually good about fixing bugs in their software updates.

Been playing 3+ years

So I've played this game since just after it was released and I still enjoy the mechanics of all the cards. Creature, spell, and support cards have very interesting effects and pairing effects. What I appreciate is the way it looks: some things are shiny, some glow, some sparkle and the artwork is very high quality. I have earned and occasionally paid for exclusive cards, a few mythics, a few masterpieces but mostly just playing the game has easily earned the majority of the decks and upgrades I've earned. I haven't tried the vip yet as it was just added over a month since it became available when I wrote this. Obviously if you can and are willing to pay an app directly you can expect the best rewards, if not the road ahead is longer for sure. I don't really have anything I'd complain about except sometimes during a battle, I slide open my deck, try to move one up or down and it occasionally gets stuck for quite a few minutes. Some days I'm patient and the card eventually becomes free again, other days after 10 minutes I quit my battle, which it allows, but then I loose everything that battle would have earned. I don't know that to be a symptom of any other app so I'm guessing it's a programming glitch but I'm no tech savant. Thank you developers!

I enjoy playing this game.

Great game in this format and better than most!

I wish there was more control over when your cards come out! That’s all?

Fun for passing time

Love MTG and a matching game is good for those waiting rooms and down time, but this game has become so unstable compared to earlier versions. Nearly every game I go into now will either crash during or right after and this is very discouraging. Hoping the devs will be working to improve this.

Not bad but balance/matchmaking issues

This game solo wise isn’t bad if you don’t ever play against another player. The problems come in when you try any player vs player situation. There are levels to your characters that it will match you against people FAR higher level (literally 30+ more HP than you with strong abilities and better cards) Yes AI controls those but because of the totally random nature of the matching game plus random card draw these power differences make it a total crapshoot on if you will have any ability to win. You’re basically playing “hope you got matched against someone weaker!” To be fair I’d say the microtransaction stuff isn’t too bad. It is a CCG so you know what you’re getting in to here, the original big daddies of microtransaction sand constant buying. I can’t really recommend this as trying to play in any of their little events just isn’t fun since you will just be CRUSHED by the matchmaking. Not to mention heaven forbid you don’t play for a bit and then you’re also behind on the latest and greatest cards (but that’s a CCG thing so you know that’ll make you lose anyway).

Deceitful loot box practices

Yes they show the percent chance on their packs, they have an additional layer of trickery that you don’t see and it’s duplicates. There is an abnormally high chance to receive duplicates. Don’t play this game if you value your time or money.
