Not ready for prime time?
Michael S. Manley

I'm a big fan of MagCloud, having bought issues from them and considered the service for my own publishing, so i was happy to see this app. However, using it thus far has been disappointing. On several occasions the magazine store has suddenly become "unavailable", including once while trying to download an issue. That issue appears to have downloaded completely during a second attempt, but the application locks up while trying to open the magazine. Subsequent opening of the app leads to a black screen with no response. This is a good idea, but thus far useless in execution, at least in my experience.

It has potential

For some people this could be a great app, however the selection isn't very large, and most of the magazines are very obscure. If there were more, this would be five stars. In the meanwhile, three is the most I can give it.

Truly fantastic!

This is a nicely polished app. It's seamless to acquire content, easy to navigate, and has a very enjoyable reading experience. Definitely has a permanent place on my iPad!

Great magazine reader

Wow what a great concept for magazines on the iPad. No paper...nice selection and I'm sure more to come. I'll be keeping this app and coming back often. It works similar to the iBook store.

Terrific selection, fascinating reading, great photography

The selections in science, travel, and education are great. I highly recommend this for readers who are looking for new and creative publications.

I love it.

I downloaded all the HP Annual Reports - dating back from 1958 to 1999. Hope the missing years will be available some time, they are a bit of computer history with all those fotos of then-recent products (wow. So that's how computers looked like in 1969!). And, I never knew that financial reports can be so beautiful. I could imagine that companies will use apps like this to publish their reports, user manuals, product papers and technical papers all in one place: For the company, it is easy to maintain, distribute and update. And for us users, all this information is easy to find, kept in one place (versus scattered all over the hard disk in different folders) and we can get updates and notifications of new manuals automatically.

So Disappointed

I love MagCloud. Unfortunately, the app crashes every time I open it on my iPad. I really do hope the issue is fixed soon, because they have great content.

Constant Crashing
Bast

I love the fact that the mags are free. I love that MagCloud lets me download magazines I've never heard of for the most part. I don't love the constant crashing. Not cool. Crashes when I try to view their inventory and when I try to download a magazine. Constant restarting of the app to obtain their content is tiresome at best.

Why must I log in to download ...

This app is perfect for the iPad! Right now it's is free so the magazine choices are limited but if this takes off, then magazine prices will be cheaper when bought through this app. This app is going places :) great work so far guys. Keep it up!
