Bingo Math focuses on recognition - a way of accessing memory. Students are given a problem and need to find the solution on their bingo card. Five in a row gets them a Bingo!
Bubble Math is a game for helping students practice their arithmetic. It forces students to think of how to multiply or add to make a number rather than just regurgitate facts.
Also included is the best looking flashcard training on the iPad or iPhone. Flashcard training focuses on recall - another way of accessing memory.
Mad Math keeps tracks of the stats of multiple students. Each student gets a report of which facts they are struggling with and these can even be emailed to show off. Each correct problem also gets you closer to the next Mad Math Level.
With the extra screen space of the iPad, students can draw right on the flashcard if they can't do a problem all in their head. If you mess up, just tap clear and try again. Once you know the answer just type it in and go on to the next problem.
Users can set how the numbers that can be used in problems - from single digit all the way to triple digit. You can also practice with decimals and negative numbers!

Keeps freezing in bingo mode

Promising game, Nice graphics. But when we started to play the game, it became very frustrating. After one or two rounds of math bingo the game freezes and you have to quit the game. Please fix this, for now it is not a useful math-tutor for my son.
Pretty good math app

My 9 yr old likes this game. She likes the interface and sounds. It is also very easy for her to pick up how to play. There does seem to be a disproportionate amount of 0's and 1's multiplication problems in the flashcards. She will easily have 80% of the flashcards be "0 x value". Please consider adding a setting for minimum value in addition to the maximum.

I use this app with second graders and they love it! I also really like it for the classroom because you can create names for each of your students, and their scores are recorded on a "report card" which they can easily email to you or you can check yourself. Very nice!

As an elementary teacher, I have to say this is the best math program I have found on the IPad. In particular Bubble Math is terrific in teaching computation. The program is also great for tracking multiple users and changing difficulty settings.

A few months earlier, the bugs really held back a great ratings, but now that they have fixed the major issues, the app is pretty good for practicing math for standardized tests.

Excellent App! My kid actually wanted to do math problems! The only changes I would recommend is an eraser when you are working out math problems and make the white background in the flashcard section bigger for better writing.
