New lynx l7000 controller, and the app never finds it. Iphone 6 IOS 9.1

Works just fine with i0S 9.2. Your iPhone becomes a duplicate of the display panel. Should be free and should work across the net but whatever. I should have researched the Lynx Touch system a bit more before I bought. No free self monitoring.

Update: I can now connect this app to all the panels it supports. Although the app will not connect automatically...while the app attempts to connect, enter "Tools" with the master code, press on "Keypads" and then this app connects and works like it should. Fix this and you get 5 stars. Previous Post: Looks like you might not have been ready for the iOS 9 update. Please fix this ASAP as I have customers mad at me because something I promised them does not work. Once you fix it I will change the star rating to reflect with an updated review.

Needs update

Worked the first day. Then I've had issues connecting to the alarm panel. Keeps sending me to the initial screen when I open the app. Using iPhone 6s with latest updates.

This app work well with the Lynx Touch panel but will only work locally. When at home, it makes it easier to control the system rather than on the panel. When pairing was easy, note to follow instructions to ensure panel is in the right menu to accept. For control outside the home, you will need the Totalconnect 2.0 app which requires you to sign up with an affiliated monitoring system even if you only want self monitoring.

7000 app

The primary problem is with Honeywell, not the app. I purchased the 7000 and all of the attachments, including the cell attachment, to be able to determine if the alarm system had been triggered BEFORE entering the house. For some illogical reason, Honeywell will not allow that unless I pay some monitoring service. The app does allow control of the unit, which is a help. But I got the system for safety, NOT convenience.

My app will only connect if I am at home. I purchased this app so that I can control my home security settings when I am away, but I am unable to do that.

While this app is very easy as well as straightforward to setup, then link with the panel initially, it does not find or connect with the panel when subsequent attempts are made! The only way I can get Lynx Connect to again find and connect with my panel, is to cycle the power on my router/modem, and that works until I leave home then return. As also stated in another review, this app only works while you are home, and will not work unless your are on the same router as the panel. When the app actually works, it is actually rather convenient while at home, being able to control the home automation features that I've installed. Overall, I'm a bit disappointed with the spotty performance of Honeywell's Lynx Connect app. It was not free either!

This app only works while using your home wifi. It does not work remotely. Need to be upgraded to enable the ability to control your alarm and smart devices away from your home.
