Annoying

HowdyHoFellas

It is horrible to use on iPad without spending a bunch of money on the apple pen, which I did not get. It was only two minutes before I deleted the app. Do not reccomend.

CAN not login after upgrade

PEBA

I hate when app forgets my login after an upgrade. But now it is even worse. I used the same password like on my desktop, but the app does not let me in.

Next best thing to Visio but on iOS

This app is great. Yes it’s glitchy, but keep in mind iOS apps weren’t meant to run in the background, so before you switch apps, make sure to save or back out and wait until it confirms that your file had synchronized with the cloud! Just see Office apps! Anyway it’s great. I got to make flowcharts at work while I waited for Visio to be installed and I went and paid for a subscription when my trial ended. It also let me export to vdx to open in Visio. Not vsdx, however. More on that later. Also, I loved how easy it was to create custom layers on the web app, kind of like Photoshop. This helped keep things clean on Lucidchart’s web app. My main gripe would be how much it costs. My workplace blocks anything with the words drive and mail other than OneDrive, so google drawings was blocked, which is why I used it, and Lucidchart kind of entraps your diagrams if you exceed the trial period. And then they have tiers. Basically if you want to go back and undo, you’re gonna need their top tier plan. If you need to use more than 5 drawings, that’s the lower tier plan. If you want more than a set number of objects on a page, you need to pay. This nickle and diming will annoy you and make you she’ll put extra money out of frustration. The other issues I have would be about compatibility. Basically when you export to vdx and try to open it with Visio, you’re gonna have problems. The shapes and formatting don’t translate well, and forget the layers—Visio will lock your diagram objects down and force you to change it to a Visio shape (I recommend their six sigma series to replace Lucidcharts’ basic shapes) so that it can transition to Visio without any object changes blocked. Oh and those hyperlinks you put on objects on Lucidcharts are useless in Visio. Might as well not put them. You can kind of remedy the blocking by switching Visio to developer mode and unsecuring characteristics of the objects but they don’t always work, and you really don’t have time for all that extra. If you lazy out and want to keep the colours and shapes Lucidchart have you, now you’ll have to store each shape in your own custom drawings on Visio. Oh and automatically generating legends won’t work on Visio when you export from Lucidchart. Lucidchart doesn’t support legends either anyway so tough luck, you’ll have to make one yourself. The other compatibility issue is sad: between the web app is robust (think database integration type stuff) and the iOS app is... well... a phone app. The layers you created on the web app also will cause the objects to get blocked, or rather, grouped, when you use iOS. And the iOS app is clunky and would require lots more tinkering around to achieve the one step thing you would do on the web app. But overall, I’m glad this app existed, because I would’ve been toast at work. Lol If you just want Visio, I recommend going to Microsoft’s HUP website and using your work or university email because your credentials might make Visio Pro 2016 cost only $9.99 for your home use. Love it! But if you just loathe Visio (I get it), or you need to be able to edit on your iPhone too, try Lucidcharts. You only get Visio Viewer on your phone otherwise. Just keep in mind, there are limitations. You can also try Google Drawings if your work allows that (but it’s like super hella basic compared to Lucidcharts, sorry Alphabet).

Nothing works

Joseph198432

Just a waste of space. No editing capabilities. Everything is broken. Unable to view documents.

Doesn’t work

7Z7

To use it, you must give them your personal info, and from there, it doesn’t open documents or do anything but give error messages. I don’t think it has any offline functionality either. Just a waste of time. These developers do not know how to make a good product, but they know how to collect your personal information.

Continuous random credit card charges after cancel, unresponsive

reviewsanc123

I used lucid chart briefly, ages ago. I canceled and I still get random charges on my credit card and they are unresponsive. It’s a giant pain.

Need a quick way to set up a flowchart for my business idea. This app did it. It was easy to use and free.
