Crap

LaceyL92

My daughter received her Elmo love2learn for Christmas, and up until now I was unable to download the app. After weeks of trying I was finally able to download the app, and now the connection keeps going down. It is very very frustrating, and I know this is not a cheap toy. Definitely wouldn't spend the money on this, it's a huge disappointment.

Complete junk

Mad Mommy in Michigan

Utter disappointment. App never stays connected so it's virtually impossible to use toy as intended. Only got a few successful nights in lullaby mode but now it won't even get into that anymore. Basically it's become an overpriced, un-cuddle-able "stuffed toy. Don't waste your money.

Ok not great

App is helpful sometimes but you have to reset everything in the app every time Elmo's batteries die and the constant need to log in a year of birth just to use it at all is really annoying.

Great concept Bad delivery

The fact that so many people have complained about this app and nothing has been done is ridiculous! To pay so much for a toy that won't work without an app and for the app not to work is a total rip off! If you did not get this toy DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Until they fix the app this toy is a waste of time!

Works, but why 800mb?!?!

The Sarrrge

It works fine unlike several of the other reviews here, but in only having a 16gb iPhone it is absurd that this app is so large.

Please read the reviews before purchasing!

Ummm blah blah

I am in agreement with the other reviewers. My daughter received this as a gift and it stopped working all of a sudden. It isn't connecting, and doesn't interact anymore. I'm disappointed for her. Nice try, but recall!

Great toy; App needs work

I love the toy and all of its intentions. Not to mention that my daughter adores Elmo. My main issue is with the Bluetooth. It connects (sometimes with issues). It also disconnects frequently during while using parent helpers. Right now, I'm trying to utilize "lullaby mode", and it disconnects while asking my daughter if she's sleepy. Then, Elmo goes right back to talking. It would also be nice to have more parent helpers, but I think the Bluetooth is the main issue. I have seen it mentioned that phone storage is causing issue, and that is not the case. I have a 256 GB 7+ with plenty of storage remaining. Edit: I've seen major improvements by just replacing the batteries. I've noticed that when the lullaby mode turns off that the batteries are getting low. No other issue. More parent helpers and games would be awesome.

Critical software bugs.

So here's what's up with this thing (I've had two new in box Elmo's behave exactly the same, so this is not a fluke): Play with the toy in Demo mode. You'll notice that everything works. Tickle Elmo, he laughs. Hold his hand, he sings a song. Beat his belly with his hands and he plays a drum! This is an amazing toy! Right? No, it's trash! Go ahead, sync him to your phone. Sync goes off just fine. Elmo says your child's name. But then you decide to do something stupid, like play with the toy! All of a sudden, NOTHING WORKS! His hands clap and his nose honks and exits games, THAT IS IT. Tickle his belly. . . Nothing. Grab his nose to exit the hand clap game (you know, the only one that works) and try again. . . No tickles. Maybe he'll randomly sing a song, but you didn't touch his hands did you. Drums on the belly? Nope. Here's where it gets really infuriating: "Hold Elmo's hand to sing a song." - He WILL NOT sing. Hold all you like. "Hold Elmo's hand to his belly to hear about food." - Silly, you thought that would work didn't you? "Tickle Elmo's belly." - Still no joy. That's right, the toy tells you how to play with it and still doesn't work! This is amazing! Amazingly bad! Elmo was a Christmas present to my daughter. She likes him, but he is no where near as good a toy as our other daughters 'My Pal Violet.' You know, that thing actually does everything it said it would. Elmo doesn't do any of it. I checked here for a software update as I'm sure that's the problem but still no fix.

Password

Not sure why all of a sudden it's not taking my password. It shows me what my password is but when I enter it, it says that's not the right password. No point in the toy if your child can't play with it.....JUNK!!!!!!! Any chance you fix this????

Scamo!

Stupid app does not stay connected, I have plenty of storage, I am right next to it, new batteries, and an "updated" app. I'm taking this thin back in the morning and you should too! Or better yet, save the trip and buy something else!
