Not very good...still

old shutterbug

This WAS a great way to pay. Then Apple went to OS9 and Loop Pay was compromised. Now they claim solution but it is still far from even near what it was! Still lose connection between Loop Pay and iPhone. It's becoming evident that Loop Pay is destined to be "killed" by Samsung. No real support by Loop Pay on last couple if questions on sudden loss of connection. It's becoming embarrassing to use the product!

Not very reliable after update

I have loop pay for my iPhone 5 for more than a year and it's been great most the time but when I switched to an iPhone 6 it has been a hit or miss (mostly miss) when I use it especially after IOS 9. I used to use in our cafeteria a lot but now it is not accepting my cards so I stopped using it. The case is heavy and bulky for me BUT I do love where I can keep my drivers license, a credit card and emergency cash at the back of the case so I have the option of not bringing my billfold. I have not given up on it completely since it's not cheap. I just always have to cross my fingers hoping it will work when I do use it.

Use to be something good

Was a great product. Used it all the time and it worked great. Then loop got bought by Samsung and it seems they've pretty much abandoned the iOS customers. Rarely works at merchants now for me because of the chip n pin. Who knows when tokens will be implemented to fix this issue. I guess it's back to Apple Pay for me.

We only use Apple Pay's NFC ?

With this app, 'Magnetic Secure Transmission' technology allowed you to transmit a magnetic signal with your credit card information to a generic ol' register/terminal, so you wouldn't have to bring your actual credit cards or wallet with you. Unfortunately, as soon as Samsung bought the rights to this technology, LoopPay will not work on iPhones anymore. At this moment we may only use Apple Pay which uses only 'NFC' technology. Which currently only a few stores accept unfortunately.

Pretty good!

First of all, I have to say I prefer Apple Pay and will use that more in the future as it works with more businesses. The primary reason I purchased a loop pay card is because I wanted to be able to use it at table service restaurants so that servers don't see my credit card information. I haven't used it yet at that type of restaurant, but have tried it at other businesses & it works well! It seems faster than swiping a card too! The only place where it didn't work a hundred percent is at Vitamin World. When I pressed the button, the card reader seemed to accept it. However their card reader needed the last 4 numbers of my card. I even loaded a Costco cash card onto the device & used it to pay at Costco & that worked well! From a security perspective, the loop pay card is good with the security features they have. You can disable button pay or have 3 varying degrees of enabling button pay - always, 10 minutes, or 8 hours. Also, after recharging the device for the second time, it defaulted to having the button pay disabled. At first I was frustrated because that's not how I had it set before. But then I thought about it & figured it was probably done to be more secure. As another reviewer commented, they don't like the card case. I chose to buy the card without the case because I have an Otterbox that I really like. I rated this 4 stars instead of 5 because the app would be easier to use if you could authenticate with your fingerprint, instead of having to enter a 4 digit number. Update on 02/06/2016: After the iOS 9 rollout, the looppay app didn't work & they eventually fixed that. I'm not having any issues like some of the other recent reviewers have mentioned. I'm still able to use it at Wawa & Giant grocery stores, since they still don't support EMV yet. And I still use it at table service restaurants, which is my primary reason for getting looppay, so servers don't see my credit card number. However, I'm concerned about Looppay's commitment to make an enhancement to support EMV card readers. If I start having problems with not being able to use Looppay due to EMV, I'm considering getting the Swyp card.

Great App but haven't used it lately. Chipped credit and debit cards seem secure. Some of these terminals will not work with Loopay mst technology.

love this app

Good job adding fingerprint ID to unlock the app. The case is really convenient to store the removable LoopCard device which can be used in the phone or removed for handing over at waiters and bar tenders and clerks. super fast to pay with the Button on the device without going into the app, sometimes I am on the phone and just have to reach my phone out and press the button to pay for something. All my cards are now loaded, including my insurance cards and CVS card, so I have ditched my wallet, just have one ID and one backup payment card I carry inside the phone case.

LOVE IT!

LoopPay is better than ever. Works like a magic even in the remote areas where they haven’t updated their cash registers in years. The only places it won’t work where you need to insert the card like ATM’s and gas stations.

Strongly recommend to everyone

Smart device, I dump my Apple Pay after using it.
