Beware!

Not backwards compatible. You need Logic 10.15, which is no longer available, so you need the latest version on Logic. Which only runs on Catalina (which is also no longer available). So basically you need Big Sur, which doesn’t work with many plugins yet. Glad I bought a new iPad for nothing. Thanks Apple ?

Updated review: Logic Remote now works with non-10.5+ versions of LPX! It is connecting with success to my iMac running LPX 10.4.8 on High Sierra 10.13.6. Thank you for fixing this Apple, but next time, include backwards compat from the get-go. Zero downtime please! <3

Remix FX not showing

Cody_the_Cat

I got this app for the sole reason of using Remix FX and it doesn’t even show up on the app. There is no icon next to the metronome in landscape mode like they say there is. I’ve tried absolutely everything and it doesn’t want to come up

Amazing!

Love using this app with Logic. Total game changer!! Best controller for Logic and it’s free! It really gives the feel of having hardware.

Garbage

The total piece of crap work for a little while then stopped to never work again despite going through all their ”fix it steps”

Hesitant

So I’d like to use this remote with my Logic Pro on my iMac but the reviews are all over the place. I have an Imac that I tried twice over the last year to restore only to be told by apple techs that it probably had a corrupted hard drive. Then my wife and I remembered I had backed up my MacBook Pro in 2016 to an external hard drive. We plugged it into the iMac and restored it from there. Then after this I started working my way through the updates. It won’t install el captain for what ever reason and got caught in a installing loop. So I restored it again from the external drive and at 2 am finally had Yosemite installed and everything working. My concern is that I went through all of this to get Logic Pro working on this iMac and that the remote might in someway freeze it or make it unusable. It’s an older iMac but I like it a lot and don’t want to have it become the paperweight I thought it was at one time again.

Was great for a while but...

I use this app for GarageBand on my Mac. It usually works well but then, it started to lag. It started with playback, then it affected the recording process of the keyboard. I can’t edit the note length or placement unless I use the mouse on the laptop, which is a drag. (No pun intended.) I’d highly recommend creating a remote control app for the Mac version of GarageBand since this app doesn’t work for as well as it should. I understand that this is primarily for Logic Pro on the Mac but I currently don’t own a compatible midi keyboard.

Can’t use it with older version of Logic

iggy1345

I have an old Mac and cannot update my version of Logic, which is stable at 10.4.8 I just purchased a new iPad and I was hoping to use this app to help me, but it is not working/supported with the old version of LPX. Developers should really allow us to keep a version that works with the old version of their own program! This really wasn’t thought through!
