Dear Apple: version manipulation is unethical and illegal

Apple Lof

As you learned from your battery incident, you can’t stop this app from running on a IPad mini 2, when it’s processor is as good and capable as the iPad mini 3....you should allow retrograde downloads that work, not mislead us in a loop or update. Finally, the iPad mini 2 uses a 64 bit albeit slower processor so there was no reason to render this obsolete. Your now unethical like google and the rest of big tech that subverts within the boundaries of uninterpretable terms for legislators, until you finally get a lawsuit forcing you to give “free batteries.” That repayment itself proved their ineptitude with digital goods and you got away with it. Well, if you don’t get caught again with stopping updates due to the new macOS or whatever the case may be, I’ll tell you two things: our Apple household/family that owns and uses over 15 Apple devices will convert to Samsung/android as soon as our devices are deemed inferior for your coding, which only has slightly changed in your proprietary favor with the m1...we know what we’re talking about, and if I didn’t have a newer processor on my iPhone I wouldn’t have access to this app. Partially why I bought it is for iPad mini 2 to run the logic remote so 1 star for your company Tim Rice! You were great at first when Jobs ideas and influence still ran Apple, but when you took over, you changed everything. Besides the m1, which was Steve’s Dream realized due to the times, your only good work was with the Apple Watch (3: which will be obsolete by next October upgrade cycle) Your losing your base so stop being cheap and forcing poor people in Covid lockdowns without jobs using the only things they have left, you should be ashamed of yourselves

Love It!!!

GarageBand on late 2014 27” iMac, Big Sur, + gen7 iPad and XSMax iOS 15.1. This app is working perfectly so far as I can see. Not seeing any latency, and I’m using it wirelessly. If this were only transport controls it would be a godsend - but it is SO much more! This is the kind of interoperability that shows Apple at their best.

Purchased Logic Pro from trial, now Logic Remote doesn’t work…

Seriouslyness

This app worked perfectly with the Logic Pro trial. I just pause $200 for it and now the Logic Remote doesn’t work for it. Please update the this app!!!! The entire reason I purchased Logic Pro for $200 was because of the ability to pair the Logic Remote app with it. Fix this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The MYTH of Apple/iOS fragmentation

zaptoons

Perfectly good iPad that's only purpose was Logic Remote (and it worked fine for that for years) now USELESS because it's an endless loop it unable to get updates on purpose. The Apple side is horribly fragmented but the pretense is otherwise. Meanwhile Android tablet of similar vintage and TouchDAW works just fine. Apple wants people to spend $$$ and up on a newer iPad for task purposes (that will also eventually be purposefully made useless) rather than use what one owns. Ridiculous.

EXCELLENT!!!

Works very well even after updating! I love being able to control logic from my phone. Simply amazing!

Connecting audio units to Logic Pro x

Gardian BA

I may be behind the curb on things in Logic, but is there a way to connect from my MacBook to my audio units VSTs that on my iPad through Logic Remote? GarageBand on my MacBook and iPad with logic remote works well but I am struggling with not having the same access to sounds and VST in Logic Pro X. Please Help….

Cool not cool

Maestro J-Beau

It connects to Logic maybe 50% of the time. This seems like something Apple should be able to do 100% of the time. When it’s connected it’s useful!

It’s been great the 2 whole times that it has worked

The Wall Studios

This app never connects to logic easily. At this point it’s stopped working all together. This is ridiculous

Very good, but needs Step Sequencer control

Doogan McDoogal

This is an excellent remote control app for a DAW, much better than the average DAW control app, especially for no additional cost. However, it badly needs the ability to program the notes of the Step Sequencer that was added in the Logic 10.5 update. This seems like it would be a fairly easy update for Apple to perform. The Logic Step Sequencer is great, but a step sequencer that you have to program with a mouse is so old school. This Logic Remote app needs to let you program notes in the Step Sequencer. Thanks!

I love this app, but..

Barry McCockrin

It’s causing by computer screen to flash incessantly with hundreds of “new logic notifications” that I can’t access. Took me awhile to figure out that it stops when I close the app on my iPad, thought it was my computer at first. What gives?
