Gamification of taking care of the Earth!

amsaglow

This app is an amazing way to make an impact on your daily walk! Filled with challenges and scoring, Litterati allows you to turn being kind to Mother Earth into a game. This means that it’s great for people of all ages — and would be especially great for teaching school-aged children the impact of their litter cleanup. With it’s easy to use interface, location tracking, and amazing AI, the data that Litterati collects is invaluable to the companies that are affecting and the cities that are affected the most. This app is truly influencing positive change, and you can be part of that by downloading!

Great app

As a competitive person that cares about the earth, this is the perfect app. I love challenging myself and others to see how much trash we can pick up. As a teacher, this was great to use with students for the community service portion of our homecoming spirit week.

Littering my love for this app all over!

Loving this app, the challenges and the data!

Best app ever!

I love Litterati! Before downloading the app, I had never even thought of going out and picking up trash, or even picking up trash that I walked by! The map feature to tell where you picked up the trash, as well as the leaderboard make this app amazing! I do have a few suggestions, though. First of all, on the leaderboard where it shows how much trash the top countries have picked up, I think you should be able to click on the country and see where the trash was picked up. You can do this with the people on the leaderboard, but sadly not the countries. Also, I’m pretty sure when you go to the global litter map online, it doesn’t show where all of the trash is being picked up like before. I think this is a glitch, but you might want to get it checked out.

I love this

Me and my friend starting doing this not that long ago and on are first day we picked up 250 pieces of trash it felt amazing. The next few days we took groups of little kids out with us and taught them a lot of lessons about making are environment healthier. These kids started picking up there own trash and got so excited over it. I cannot tell you how happy this made me I was in shock of how I was helping others and are environment. So overtime we had groups of different people we taught about picking up trash that did it on there own. I could not be more proud of myself for it. This app really changes people’s thought on helping are environment and just overall spreading awareness and I love it.

If I could give this Zero stars I would

Update: on 1/12/21, received response from developer and they said posts are not deleted on Facebook. I posted again and the post was quickly taken down and deleted. I am so disappointed with this app. I wanted our Girl Scout troop to use it for their service project of cleaning up the environment. You have to take a picture of every single piece of trash and upload it. This is insane. You spend more time taking pictures and uploading them rather than picking up trash. I posted this issue on the Litterati Facebook page and they deleted my post without responding. So terrible! I would not download this app and frustrate your friends and family that are legitimately trying to clean up their environment.

Great idea, not so good execution

When trying to upload more than a few photos, it takes forever if not never uploading them.

Lots of photos

I think the purpose of this app is great. Keeping the planet clean and the animals safe is key. Taking a photo of each piece of trash however is a bit excessive in my opinion. Unless I’m missing something but my impression is photos of every piece of trash.

Great app, need ability to ‘trash talk’ in challenges

Love the app, and it does motivate me to pick up trash. I’ve experienced some issues with not being able to take photos without freezing up after I’ve uploaded 20-30 photos in a row. The one major improvement I would suggest is that there should be a way to trash talk with other users that are in your challenges. Would be fun and could be a cool feature of the app.
