Now that LJ has gone digital-only, I'm really glad to see them distributing via some fairly mobile-oriented platform. I love the fact that I can use my account to access full issues, and the reading experience on an iPhone 4 is not too bad. A couple of things I'd like to see improved would include the ability to mark all "News and Views" items as "read" en masse. Right now it seems like I need to actually load up each and every new item in order for it to be considered no-longer-new. This is tedious, because there were more than 50 items. I'm slowly working my way through them one by one, but it's frustrating. More broadly, I'd like to see options for not even bothering to flag new items in the News and Views. The option to turn off the red "unread count" badge altogether would be great. Another thing, and this is just minor: The imagery does not seem to be optimized for Retina-quality displays. Wouldn't be that hard to re-render some the artwork and make that available for the higher-quality displays. Overall, I'm definitely a fan. Just needs a fair bit of polish in some areas. Thank you!

What a great version 1 release! Smooth, easy to use, well laid out. Love the "links" feature (took me a few minutes to realize you need to slide the tab up to access). Overall well done! 100% get my renewal next month! Thanks....

After trying this app out I will be resubscribing. I'll be able to take all of my previous LJ issues wherever my iPad goes which is huge. Great job guys!

Glad to finally see LJ in digital form! Love it on the iPad. For some reason, embedded video when played just closes the app. It doesn't crash... it just closes. Never could get videos to play. Other than that, it's a great app! Thanks LJ!

Easy to use. Great way to read the new format. I always have the latest issue in my pocket.

As a subscriber I'm very happy to see this. I love that I can manage and read issues from here.

As a longtime subscriber I deserve better. Code sections are invariably unreadable as type is microscopic in comparison to surrounding text. Feeds (with an 'S' implying > 1) contains a single RSS feed. If this is the new publishing model then I wish the staff @ Linux Journal much luck because the legibility issues with Texterity won't win many followers on it's clear lack of merit. What were you thinking?

I have iOS 7 and the app crashes all the time. It's about time you guys fixed it.
