Linksys Shield is a premium subscription for Velop tri-band users. Shield makes sure kids get content that's right for their age. Fully customizable presets give you complete control over the content your kids see. Linksys Shield can be used on up to 14 devices connected to your Velop tri-band system.
SUBSCRIPTION PRICING AND TERMS
Linksys Shield offers two auto-renewing subscription options:
• $4.99 per month
• $49.99 per year
Prices are in US dollars. Your price may be converted to your local currency.
Your 30-day trial converts to a paid subscription unless you turn off auto-renew. Trial runs 30 consecutive days even if canceled before it expires.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each term and you will be charged through your iTunes Account. You may turn off subscription auto-renewal at any time through your iTunes Account Settings. We cannot offer a refund for unsubscribing early.
After 30 days, iTunes will process auto-renewal payments in the 24 hours before expiration. To avoid auto-renewal, turn it off at least 24 hours before expiration. Manage subscriptions, including auto-renewal, through the iTunes store.
Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.

The only issue I had was trying to use LastPass to get my Linksys password. The keyboard became landscape sized, and the app runs in portrait, so I had to bring up my password on another device and type it in.
I have had the Velop system installed for only one week, but so far I am very pleased. The setup including nice p,a cement was very easy, and the performance has been superior to any router plus extenders I have used to date. I am now achieving download speeds that are are much faster. Than K would normally need, but with the improved network speed I am able to utilize a couple of streaming services that I was unable to use with my old router.
One day it logged me out and now I can’t get back in. The app support keeps telling me to reset my password which I have done several times, but no progress. They have offered ZERO other solutions so far.
App does most of what it’s supposed to do. I’d say some things I’d like to see improved are, Being able to monitor bandwidth per device and improving device detection. The device list is missing some hardwired devices on my network. If the Velop is assigning IPs then it should know about the device.
When there is an issue with the internet you want to know what going on. Is it the nodes or is it the modem? The app doesn’t tell you what’s going on. Says everything is fine when my internet is down. The app has great control over you router but the fact that it doesn’t tell me when a node is disconnected or when my modem is down is why it deserves 2 stars.
I was amazed how user friendly the app is. I am 71 and I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to follow.
Customer service is trash told the girl she was mumbling the whole entire time and she said I was instead then couldn’t hear her at all she later on hung up on me THE CUSTOMER SERVICE HUNG UP ON ME WHEN I NEEDED HELP
