Awesome!!

This app works great. It has a few minor issues, but don't all apps? Well this app works best for using irc chat, i've tried many apps and this defiantly works the best.

Excellent

This app is great for the user whom wishes to unleash their mobile device while using IRC. If a person doesn't know what IRC is and how to implement it, then try an app that requires no brains from the user. Read RFC 1459.

A good start. Missing some important features
DjSeeko

I am a heavy chat user and there are some very basic features that are needed in chat clients for them to be functional. I decided to download LimeChat after Colloquy completely destroyed their IOS app in their last release and the do not seem interested in addressing the issues. The LimeChat interface is simple and easy to read and the time stamping feature is an important must have. The 2 functions that are missing are the ability to set audible alerts for channel or PM messaging and the ability to receive messages via IOS notification center when the app is running in the background. Messaging is needed for replies to PM's along with a notification when the app is going to shutdown due to the 10 min background limit that Apple imposes (with an option to hit the notification and automatically reset the timer for another 10 mins). Colloquy does this really well, but they messed the interface up in their latest release. On a positive note, I did contact the LimeChat developer and gave him my suggestions. He responded very quickly and seemed genuinely interested in my suggestions (asking questions). Take a look at the version release dates on the other chat clients and you will see that most of them are 1 or 2 years old! Not a good sign of a developer that is committed to their product long term. Hopefully the LimeChat developer will live up to expectations because I think that he has a solid baseline for a decent chat app.

What happened to it?

I had already bought this once to replace another irc app when the first one disappeared. Now that the first one has come back this one is gone and now I can't download it unless I pay for it again? What's up with that?

Here is hoping...

Good start it but it looks like a lot of work still needs to be done. It is worth the price of admission none the less.

Good, Not Great Yet

* Hands down destroys the buggy new version of Colloquy in all but a few ways. * Copy and paste doesn't seem to work from chat window. Highly annoying. * You have to click+hold on nicks in chat and select paste username. No nick autocomplete. Prefer the way Colloquy implements this. * Needs swipe gesture to switch between channels / PMs * Wish it auto changed your nick to preferred nick once it is available like Colloquy. It's annoying to be nick_ upon peer reset.

Totally blows other IRC apps out of the water. The design and options are intuitive, convenient, and useful. Although the price may be high, it's worth it and is a good buy for an experienced user of IRC. New users may be a little confused, but an online IRC tutorial would clear up some of the questions a new user might have. It's a five-star app at the moment, but I would love to see colors implemented, possibly some basic scripting, and a better copy/paste system. Other than that, this app is money well spent.

Lol I thought I was ripped off

This is great just what I needed. I started to freak when I seen the server list and didn't see an add button. Between the word server and the arrow you can type in your server. I didn't know this right away. And I use to write scripts for mIRC. HA! I love it and I'm planning to keep it. That's for making such a great app. Keep up the good work.
