Awesome!

While not exactly what you'd think of as a typical choose-your-own adventure (it seems they force you down certain paths), the amount of routes you can take and the compelling story itself make you keep playing the game and get you invested in it. Definitely worth the money!

Slow (reviewer busy) .......... REALLY slow.

Okay, I'm a VERY old school gamer, and when I read that this was a 'text adventure' game I got VERY excited, as I was hoping for something similar to what I'd played in my youth. This is NOT that. For all I know, the story may eventually become interesting. It's difficult to tell, because I've been playing it for two days and literally nothing has happened. The biggest problem is that Taylor, the character you're communicating with and directing, will actually give you maybe 5-10 lines of dialogue (mostly involving whining about his situation) and then.... go away. To walk, or eat, or whatever. And he will be gone for HOURS. So you wait, and go do other things in your life - except PLAY THE GAME YOU PAID FOR. Because until Taylor comes back, there's nothing you can do. Then he returns to give 5-10 more lines of whiny dialogue, and you will need to make a random decision that has no visible immediate outcome. Then Taylor goes away again for an hour or so. And you go do other things too. To be honest, I wouldn't even classify this as a game. Its not engaging, and so far not even entertaining. Massively frustrating and dull is probably the best description I can give. I do not recommend.

It keeps wanting a review even though I haven't finished the game, yet, so three stars is the best I can do.

No Ending

I paid for the story and received several other stories so I thought this was a real bargain. I tried writing a review but it said i had to purchase, which of course I have the receipt. The story was a bit lame at first but gets interesting near the end. It finally builds up to him living or dying then communication gets cut off and a notice says this was the end! I then open up the second part and he was already back home, no explanation what happen or how he got out. What a waste of time and money. Find a better app.

Unexpected death

When I was playing this and Taylor was in the control room at the peak, greeted with his controlled “friends”, I told him to stay calm and don’t look at their eyes. That was a mistake because I got messages indicating he had a heart attack. Then I had to start back from when he built the bootleg compass. Still, best game I’ve played in a while.
