Choices Are Limited

argbz

I love the other Lifeline games. I highly recommend those. This one felt irrational. Many of the choices you make are not what the plot suggests you should do. For instance Fight or Run. When it is clear you should talk to someone who isn't threatening and has previously alluded to what you might need. It really feels like you don't get to make legitimate choices. Poorly written decision tree.

Fatal Rewind

The writing is good. I say that as someone who's written both novels and video games. The main character has a definite but multifaceted voice. And I love that it's basically an adventure game without you pointing and clicking at everything on a screen. HOWEVER... Dying sets you back a loooooong way. I died three times, and even with "fast-forward" enabled, I can't bring myself to try to slog through it again. If only dying gave you the option of going back a few choices from your failure instead of THE BEGINNING OF THE ACT. It's the one problem I have with the game, but it's a major one and it's going to keep me from ever playing it again. For that reason, I can't score Lifeline 2 high. It's reminiscent of how Morrowind's lack of direction/fast travel made me give up on it, but Bethesda fixed that in Oblivion - which I played for 185+ hours. TL;DR: Developers, please fix the dying penalty on your game because it killed my enjoyment.

Absolutely Amazing!!!

I just finished the game and I'm genuinely wanting more, it has an amazing story plenty of humor and a main protagonist that feels so genuine and real that you feel sad when it ends. 5⭐️

Heartfelt ending

I don't care what other people say about this game the story is great the characters are great and the ending will be remembered. It deserves more than 5 stars!

By far my favorite game ever.

RaduhRaduh

I love the storyline and the ability to change the game based on the choices I make. The character is witty and funny, and I love the sass. I definitely went ahead and downloaded the rest of the game, I'm very happy.

Wow...

Wishes for variety

This was a really cool game, it really felt like you had a connection with the character and I'm sad to see the end. Good Job

Interesting new twist!

I wasn't as into this one initially, but I grew to really enjoy this story and character. Good length too!

Seemed good

PowerHobo

Was really enjoying the game, but I've run into a bug in the monastery after solving the loop that won't allow me to progress (it doesn't give me choices anymore), and it's a little far into the story to want to consider a restart. EDIT: I've since read through other reviews and found others stuck at the exact same point from over a year ago, so it looks like the developer have no plans to fix it or just don't care.

amazing!

i love lifeline 2 along with all the other lifeline games and when i had heard this one came out i was excited. it was so worth the money! it's a really captivating storyline and i really enjoy the detail and the large amount of choices you get to make. although i did discover a typo. when arika is ranting about fiery habanero doritos getting discontinued, when you respond: that really should have been the absolute first thing i should have told you when we met, it says me instead of we. finally replaying it in an attempt to get a better ending! i’m almost there! No iphone - watch progress sync

kevindwhite

My progress in the game doesn’t synchronize across my watch and my phone. This is annoying as it means I get different notifications from each device unless I repeat my steps. Oh, and the dialogue is TERRIBLE just awful. No one, no one, talks like the main character. The jokes/snark are not only flat but remarkably poorly timed as if they were inserted on a second pass through of the script. It is in a word, wearying.
