BATTERY CONSUMPTION
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Life Cycle does not use the GPS in the background, but instead relies on cell tower and Wi-Fi locations. As a result, it consumes less than 1% of your battery per day, when the app runs in the background.

REQUIREMENTS

• Life Cycle needs to run in the background to be able to record your data. It only uses 1% of your battery per day when doing so.
• You need to carry your phone with you, for Life Cycle to accurately record and interpret your activities.
• Wi-Fi should be enabled on your phone for tracking to work.

The optional Premium subscription costs $9.99 per year.

Should you choose to subscribe to Life Cycle Premium, the purchase will be charged to your iTunes account. You can manage or cancel your auto-renewable subscription by entering the user settings in iTunes after the purchase. The subscription will be auto-renewed 24 hours before the subscription period ends, with the same kind of subscription you already bought, to the same price. Great way to track your days
Nickerdoodle11

I really enjoy looking back to see where I’ve spent my time. GPS is very accurate and after using it for a few weeks the journal feature is very cool. You can add all your own categories depending on how far you want to break down your time. I only wish there were more color categories to choose from.

I have been using the app for a couple of years. Thought it was great. Now it is not keeping track like it did. I have found my stops are just added to transportation.

Sleep data should track time in bed, not time asleep
jferriss

This app imports my Apple Health data, which includes both time in bed and time asleep stats. Unfortunately this app tracks only time asleep in the Sleep category, which means ~2 hours of extra Home time is tracked per day. Home time should be for cooking, cleaning, watching TV, etc. Not good!

My complaints are trivial…
PhelineCat

I really like this suite of apps: Life, Sleep, Nap. Both Sleep & Life have been telling me how to readjust my life in simple, straight forward ways and *they're in complete agreement*! ? I rely on this app more than any others for my step counts, how long I was sick with a cold, how often I use "as needed" meds, a quick check for how often I do one hike vs another, etc. I long for more and better colors and icons. I'm disappointed whenever I see the limited pallet and have to reassign colors so I don't have a brown or monochrome donut. Too many activities struggle for an iconic description; I have to engage in mental gymnastics to make something fit.

Great...but simple fixes needed.

The most complicated features seem to work well. Tracks your location and provides easy way to categorize. I’d like if it didn’t count something I did at 1am as “today” considering that’s really yesterday. It should count anything before sleeping as yesterday. The other issue is the categories. There are some built in categories and most I’ll never use. And I need more colors to categorize since this is how the pie chart displays info. Hopefully the app fixes some of the simple things like this because it’s a killer app. Nice to not have to manually start and stop a timer to track what I’m doing throughout the day. Nice mike high view of how I spend my time.

Takes 59 hours to begin???
kaelink2010

I downloaded this app and it says it will not be useable for 59 hours bc it’s got to ‘figure me out and my routine’? What’s up with that??

Location doesn’t run in background
klevergirl101

Says it won’t drain your battery, won’t run without permissions to use location “always,” and iPhone iOS can’t run location in background “always” without draining the battery. There are other ways to obtain location information that don’t drain the battery, but this app isn’t using them. Try again, dev.

Exactly what I was looking for
kellykeoas

I have used Sleep Cycle for a while but never thought I would find a use for Life Cycle. I had downloaded another similar app that tracks habits like Life Cycle does but it was too time consuming to manually put in times and events. I like how this app gives me the bare bones of what I’m doing and spending my time on. It’s cool to check in every day and week.

Inaccurate
DMBfan34

At first I loved this app, but lately I’ve been noticing its missing whole chunks of my day. For example, today I rode my bike to a location, stayed there about an hour, and rode back home. It was missing the chunks of time where I was riding my bike. It didn’t say I was somewhere else, those times just didn’t appear in my donut. It would be nice it would show all the times of activities in a list so you could just fill in missing slots easily. The other thing that really irritates me is when you create a new icon it doesn’t show you what colors have already been used. It’s a small issue, but annoying none the less. I won’t be renewing my paid subscription.

Sync Issues
Always-optimistic

I am finding that the number of steps reported in this app is way different than the number of steps reported in the Health app - almost 4x less. I have the sync option checked, but it doesn’t pull over the data. Is it because I don’t have a premium account? If so, this app might need to go...
