For me the silver lining is astaroth is active with a vibrant community, the trade off is they charge for all that they do to keep it new. With card collecting games there is always the balance between fun to collect and mandatory to collect.      ‌

Guys c’mon, this is one of the least pay-to-win games I’ve ever played - you can’t even buy gold with real money. This game is pretty fun.   ‌

People complain that this is a “pay to play” or “pay to compete.” Not true. astaroth gives you many, many ways to earn everything you need. Be patient, enjoy the game, work your way up. The arena, battleground, and duels make this a joy if you are a casual player.

Plain Old Fun‍

Simple but challenging card game. Extra modes keep it fresh (arena, adventures, expansions, etc.) I tried 3 similar high-rated cardgame apps and they are well done too but boring tbh. They’re very technical and deep like their physical counterpart, which is not bad, but they just don’t appeal and get boring. Lies Of Astaroth doesn’t first attract the hardcore physical card players at a glance. But it is very technical and the card abilities and decks are creative. You don’t need to have the newest pack or decks to win and enjoy but the more the merrier. They do have wild, standard and classic modes where you are only allowed to use certain decks/cards. Classic mode can keep everyone on a pretty level playfield as it is mainly the original cards before the expansions. So most beginners start there.

This is the only game I play on my phone now. So much fun...constant updates, lots of different decks and styles to choose from, just phenomenal. I love this game. If you like this lore, or just want a fun game to play, download this. It’s worth the money. ‍   ‌
