Some improvements

testeban

Thank you for the improvements on the update. I still can't use the 'don't count' category in most of the cases, which is a bit annoying.

Great app concept, needs some work

agilipsky

Great app overall, I have been using this now for several years to track my spending and stay within set goals. The visual of the daily allowable spending is helpful and also having multiple bank accounts and credit cards linked and showing activity and balances all in one place. However, there are occasional technical glitches where my accounts become unlinked or some activity appears to be missing or tagged incorrectly as an expense. The best part about the app was its simplicity and as newer versions come out and the app is able to do more complex things, some of the appeal becomes lost as it is more difficult to navigate.

No way to save

CPUFreak91

The app seems pretty decent, but there's no clear way to save money. I had to create "bills" for my investment and savings accounts. Fortunately the app recognizes recurring transactions and asks if you want to make it a bill.

Updated level is not functional

Greatly disappointed 123

The updated version of Level is not useful; it is disorganized and non-functional. The old version was great and it provided useful insight to my monthly budget. Here are some of the features of the new Level that renders it not useful. 1. There is no way to lock the app via a pin or Touch ID. Essentially anyone using your phone can view your income and account balances. Although no one can transfer money, I prefer nobody can view my finances. 2. The updated Level does not have a monthly Planner. The planner helped allocating money for bills and spendable. The current version does not differentiate between these transactions. Thus the spendable portion does not tell you how much money you have left to spend. In the end, I need to add my bills separately. 3. The updated Level is slow and disorganized. The old Level displayed the information in a sensible manner. In one line, it displayed the transaction, cost, tracker, category and date. In addition, you could view all the trackers on one page and compare it to spendable. Now each transaction may take up a line or two with less information. To find more details, it requires clicking and going to a new page. There is no swipe option, editing transactions take forever. There are so many pages but not one page gives a full snapshot of your monthly budget. 4. The old Level let you put aside money each month for a bill. You had the option to have level adjust your spendable according to actual transaction. This was great for utilities bill. 5. There is no manual input of details. For example if I get paid cash, I am unable to track it or input that information in Level. Those were just a few of the items that make Level not useful. I am deleting the app due to items 1 and 2. I am not happy with no app locking. Secondly, the new level does not help automate the tracking. Each weeks I have to go through the transaction. Please update Level where it actually helps track your spendable.

Good

Ok, it is back to being good again.

First to Worst

HeyDeez31

I loved this app. Told all my friends about it. Swiping left or right made this easy & manageable on the go. The daily/monthly trackers & overview were the best part of it. Now it is clunky & doesn't work. I don't really see myself using this app as it is no longer helpful or easy.

Really hate the update

phong.quan

The prior version definitely had bugs and needed improvements but worked and was generally intuitive. New version seems to strip away features and make it harder to use. Really dislike that I have to tap several times to recategorize a transaction now rather than just swipe to the right too.

Great spending control app

Oogio

Easy for me to use and I can monitor and categorize all my expenditures. Great connections to my banking and credit card companies for quick updating! New update makes it way easier to use!!!

No exaggerations

WidgetlessWonder

***EDIT: This version of the app is still terrible, but I highly recommend PocketGuard after seeing other reviewers post about it - it brings to the table most of the features that Level 3.0 got rid of (although no widget yet) and is a thousand times more intuitive and user friendly than Level currently is.*** The other reviews weren't lying... The new update is really that bad. No more widget, a clunky interface, more difficult to make changes, more difficult to view trackers, and plenty of removed features. Just a bad, bad, useless app now.

Great tool

Mls99

Great tool, but not a huge fan of the new version.
