Better than I thought

H0bbez

I went into this game with low expectations but it is really good. Prices are cheap if you choose to buy anything but I haven’t bought a single thing and I’m getting free lessons and free stuff every single day. The only issue I have is there is no staying where you are in your lesson to keep practicing. You either keep up with the lessons or get left behind. Luckily they have a little fix for this issue but choosing how many words you want to learn every day.

Definitely could improve

Sudsmodo

This game is a great time killer. However it is a rip off. Even if you never get anything wrong you will run out of moves and if you get one wrong you are $&@!ed. It’s all about spending more money once you get to a certain level. Some levels are impossible unless you have certain extras that you eat along the way. Find something better out there than this. Save your frustration.

Can’t restore my purchases after getting a new phone! otherwise I like the game!

Sound

Racha-roni-roo

Overall, I love this app! I’ve learned so much that I am giving it all 5 stars even though the sound has glitches and customer support is nonexistent. Update: I was able to get the sound to work again by pushing the sound bars way up in the settings. I didn’t have to do that before when it was working. I’m not sure if a recent update created this situation. Still, customer support has not contacted me, hence the 3 stars. I also found that selecting the playback button in sound settings helps to turn off and on any sounds. Weird. I have a iphoneX. Somehow, the sound is no longer working on this app. I’ve contacted customer support with no correspondence back. In general, it’s a great app, but if you can’t hear the Spanish words, what’s the point of buying it?

If you feel stuck, read this;

None of my beeswax but...

1. You can play this game without paying by doing the following; a. Take advantage of the free offers they have while you play. [Plan when to use the free 1hr gift when you have the time and are into it] b. Take your time playing the levels. It’s not a race. c. If you are not 100% sure the correct word pairing LOOK IT UP. I have SpanishDict app and I switch back & forth when I feel like the game is getting harder for me or the wine is kicking in. Either or, do some work. 2. The game is strategic. a. Look at how the blocks will fall if you remove certain words before you remove them . b. Take advantage of using the underlined words at the beginning of the game when you can. c. Try not to use all of your assists at once. 3. If you really are using this as a tool to learn a different language; A. Screen shot the list of words you have learned at the end of each game. The one thing I wish they had, a list of words you know with the percentage of how often you get it correct in the game. For now I have the screen shots then make flash cards or write them down pretty or whatever memory trick I find on YouTube. B. Say the words out loud when you can. It’s going to be strange and you won’t like it but do it. If it helps, pretend you are an actor and fake it til you make it. C. Pick topics you honestly like. If you get into this game and are learning from it then it’s worth the investment if you can afford it.

Love it!

A Fun Way to Learn Spanish

SmileWithOranges

I can’t even tell you how long I have been struggling to learn this language. Until I started playing games in Spanish, I’d get soooo bored. This is fun, entertaining, and challenging all at the same time.

You HAVE to pay

Sandra D95

You have to pay to play! I just installed it and it only gave me options to pay. You get 3 days free then you pay, it’s annoying. Won’t attempt to download ever again because it tricked me. If the game says free then it’s free don’t trick someone into paying.

Problems with downloading subscription to new device.

I paid for a year premium subscription and then when I got my phone a few months later, I couldn’t “restore purchase.” I contacted support with no response. I’m bummed. The game is really cool.

Fun and challenging

Anknoif

Update: I've had this game for a while and played up to Level 300, still never spent a penny. I LOVE this game! It has helped me expand my Spanish vocabulary and better understand sentence-building, all while playing a goody match game with fun stuff like word bombs, hamburgers, and bubbles. This is a genius idea for a word game, and tbh I'm considering buying premium just to support the developers because this game is so brilliant. My Original Review: Everyone complaining that this game costs too much money is a fool. You don't have to spend a cent to enjoy this game. Yes, you do run out of moves or lives sometimes, but that is called "difficulty," which apparently a lot of previous reviewers cannot handle. This game builds vocabulary rapidly, and it is also a strategic kind of match game at the same time. Because you are matching Spanish words with their English translations, it is not as mindlessly easy as something like candy crush. The game forces you to think strategically with the words you match. This game is a lot of fun and just the right amount of challenging to keep me coming back. I've never spent a penny on it & see no need to.
