It is terrible and you have to pay for everything

Super frustrated by this app

mom041411

Wish I could get my money back. The very first time I entered the app, it showed me a nice little tutorial for the note names and where the notes are located on the staff. Great for my 8 year old! The next time we entered the app, that tutorial had disappeared. Thought maybe it was because I had to pay for it, so I reluctantly shelled out the money. Nope. No tutorials, only the game which makes you guess at the entire thing and doesn’t teach anything. Very frustrating, especially for a new learner.

No pricing

I downloaded the app to consider it as a teaching tool for my students but not only is there a very small amount of free exercises, when it suggests that you upgrade there is no price given. I searched the entire app and the website and there is no pricing anywhere. Im not going to make a purchase if I don’t know how much it is.

Doesn't work well

Needed to get back to tutorial; not possible. No explanation why until I come here and see negative reviews. Bad design. Don't worry about a main portion of the app being intrusive; make a button to get there. Can't ever pass a test because it doesn't recognize middle C, on a Steinway! Glad I didn't shell out money for the pro version, though that and rating the app are the only way to possibly avoid constant harassment. Giving it two stars rather than 1 because it seems like it might help but it just wasn't implemented well.

An exciting app for note recognition

I really enjoy this app, and find it slightly more appealing than the similar Note Rush app, which I use extensively as a piano teacher. You can purchase an Interval Selector and Note Selector also to tailor for each student. I love how the game mode has thoughtful levels including landmarks, which is so popular in methodology right now and “clicks” better for some students. I also love how game play is on a timer, and students score as many correct answers as possible, as opposed to Note Rush which only reviews each note once per level (We NEED the repetition!). Four stars only because the note B below Middle C is currently pictured as a ledger line, which would be confusing for beginners. I spoke with the developer about this, and I’m looking forward to the update and being able to use this app on a regular basis.

User friendly app

I downloaded this app after my wife’s friend told her to do so for our kids. My kids are 7 and 11 and this app has been very helpful in the piano learning experience. I recommend this app to others
