I purchased Launch Center Pro after reading a few productivity articles that gushed over it. It was pitched as the "must have" for iPhone productivity. Pros: It looks great and, once you get the hang of it, it makes some tasks (like auto-texting someone) very easy. Cons: Most of the apps I use are not compatible with Launch Center. Want to set up a task with Busycal? Not going to happen. Want to have a button to take photos using your built-in camera? Not supported. Also, it did not feel very intuitive. To text a friend, for example, I have to open Launch Center and click on the icon I set up. Or, I could just click messages and click on the friend. Calling a friend? Open Launch Center, Click the icon you set up. Or, I could just ask Siri to call for me. I'm a huge fan of launchers in general, but found that Launch Center, while saving me miliseconds with some tasks, still forced me to open the app or have it running in the background for those miliseconds. Others may have a much better experience than I did, but it's not the productivity powerhouse I expected.

Learning curve

It has some nice features it takes time to try to figure it out.

Wrong apps being launched

Things are going downhill, when attempting to launch the Amazon Kindle app, fitness app "Walker" launches instead.

Could be useful

Most of the actions that can be completed with launch center can be done just as easily using 3D Touch. Want to FaceTime a certain contact? Add them to your favorite contacts and pressure-touch the FaceTime app. Want to make a tweet quickly? Pressure-touch on the twitter app. I'm sure it has uses outside of the abilities of 3D Touch, but none that have stood out to me. If you have a phone that doesn't support 3D Touch, this may be the app for you. Otherwise, I'd say don't waste the 3 dollars.

Need to update to support iOS 11

Many API changed. Hope the LCP team update the app to make it useful just like before.

Modern Solution

Let me put it simply. If this app didn’t exist, I’d hate using my phone. This is essential for those who want to control nearly every app by simple actions. Top app and if this app decided to leave iOS, I’d probably follow it anywhere.

Useless

Would give no stars if possible. Hard to use

This is the best app of its ilk I have found. It’s pretty amazing in fact. I’d use it WAY more frequently if it had a more compact view in its widget like most of its younger competitors.

Historically perfect

Update: THEY FIXED THE LOCATION BUG! This thing is *perfect*! Combined with IFTTT and Workflow, you basically have to sit back and chill while your device does everything you’d otherwise have to waste about ten differently-placed taps on. Launch Center Pro is the app Apple should’ve made and built into every device they’ve made so far. It’s the power-users answer to all their prayers — and then some! The one AND ONLY problem is the location bug which got introduced in the last update. Location-tracking will automatically turn itself off, for some reason. Again, it’s the ONLY flaw in this otherwise piece of ART! Ignoring that, it’s a STEAL at the price the developers are selling this at. It could be on for $15 or more, and still be underpriced. Thank God (and the devs) for Launch Center Pro!
