I’ve used Laughable for years, primarily for the option to subscribe to both podcasts and comedians. Once they started charging a subscription (suggesting the fees would be used for development), no updates have been made in over 7 months. I’ve noticed that some podcasts don’t load until the day after they’re released, which buries them in the feed. They don’t tag the comedians in a timely manner, so you have to go back and check to see if they were in a podcast (sometimes up to several weeks late). My most recent gripe is that the app crashes every time I try to open it, making it pointless to pay for the service. I’m going to let this subscription period expire unless they make any improvements. Spotify it is!

No updates in 8 months, slow app

This used to be a great little app and free. Now it’s a paid app (which I’ve done for a year now) but for that money you get no updates in 8mo and a super slow app. I’m on a 200mbps+ connection and app takes forever (20s+) just to pull-up my subscriptions.

Love this app best app ever for getting all your podcasts in one place. Also really easy way to find a new podcast. Wish it was on car play for my truck tho.

There’s no way I’m paying a subscription to listen to free podcasts. I already know what comedians I like so I guess I’ll have to add them into the regular podcast app. Such a shame, I recommended laughable for so long but can’t anymore

This app used to be free, and I used it constantly. Then they required payment, and I paid for it because it was worth it and continued to use it constantly. But now the app is darn near unusable. Which is a shame because the UI and the intention behind the app is TOTALLY worth paying for. This app crashes daily. This app takes a solid minute to switch from one aspect of it to another. This app freezes and glitches and is generally extremely painful just to scroll through your feed. You better have a solid attention span if you want to use Laughable. The invisible infrastructure behind the app is garbage. And they haven’t released an update in 9 months. Developers - I know you’re super responsive. I know you care. Please resolve your technical debt, or whatever makes this app slower than frozen molasses, and you have my word I’ll update my review and sing your praises across social media. I love y’all, but I can’t support such an infrastructurally unsound product. I spend as much time waiting for the app to load *in the middle of using it* as I do actually scrolling through my feed and exploring.
