Excellent app to help learn the definition of single words and also phrases!

Advanced Chinese speaker here. This dictionary does not provide enough related, or close, characters within a search. A great feature if few other apps is that when a stroke is off the similar characters will also appear in the search. This app is too hit or miss. Clean layout and easy to use though.

Very well written, designed, very fast. Gets the job done. Lacks OCR but is not a massive loss bc it excels in all other areas

This dictionary has been my favorite tool for learning Mandarin Chinese for over a year now! It has lots of vocabulary.

Good app with great word selection. Originally had on my iPhone 3GS. But nowhere to be found in App Store on my iPhone 5 running iOS 7.1.2.

I love this app. It's one of the best quick dictionaries out there. I eventually purchased the flash card trainer, and I use it all the time now to study! Disadvantage- it doesn't give sentence examples. Advantages- it's neat and straightforward. Love love love!

This is easily one of the best apps I've ever downloaded. The dictionary is easy to search and gives you so many extras I have not found in other dictionaries, such as idioms and colloquialisms/figures of speech. The reader is an added bonus, and it is able to recognize multi-character words and phrases to help you understand context within a sentence or paragraph better. You can color code pinyin and/or characters to highlight tones so your pronunciation improves. Really a fabulous tool to help you learn or expand your Chinese. I wish I had other dictionaries as useful as this one.

This app has a great set of features, but I would like to see a couple of features that are present in the DianHua added to this app, i.e., A list of related terms below the selected term and the ability to freeze frame jumbo sized flash card characters so that you can draw on them. With these additions I would definitely get the paid version.
