Not terrible...

But nothing I didn't already know from online sources.

Could be better- first iteration

Zonan

Yes, it would be great if there were more info in there, there are some typos, etc. And it shows TXP320 available- AFAIK, that's discontinued. If it's really available, great news. So yes, it could be better. I'm hoping it will be fixed and upgraded, and am willing to give it some time. It has the potential for being very helpful.

Completely useless

Stone804

This app isn't even useful to armatures let alone professionals. Lacking in this app: No GPS locator to actually show you stores NEAR you without having to read through every store listed in the USA... No list of processing chemicals for the films as well as substitute chemicals for chemicals no longer produced that would be usable on film lines no longer in production (yes there's tons of film out there and people COULD be using Kodak chemicals to process them if they knew what could substitute for the original chemical. Explanations on how the chemicals affect films Times and temperatures for all Kodak films (again even expired ones) to be used with what chemical. Again, Kodak, the customers actually buying your product are professionals, no one else is... And on that note.. WHY WOULD YOU OFFER LARGE FORMAT EKTAR as a "special order" yet provide it in portra as an available film? (Same question in the B&W department, who would even shoot on portra if you're going to spend the money and shoot on a large format camera, you're going to use high end film like ektar not cheap crap like portra... I mean seriously... If you would listen to photographers actually buying your film and read any forum for photography and no one is talking shoot portra, ya know what they talk about, Technical Pan, and how they FINALY got some off ebay for some exorbitant price just to be able to shoot 3 rolls. No one is buying your new product because we want the old good stuff you discontinued. If you had a new run of tech pan and charged $10 per 120 roll people would buy it considering they spend $20/roll now on expired tech pan. Get it? Fix your company so it will exist in 10 years...

Not bad but could use work

I feel like the app needs work but I'm just glad to see Kodak is putting some effort into supporting users of film. even the littlest app matters. Polaroid abandoned it altogether and Fuji doesn't make apps from what I've found. I'm assuming the team for this app is probably a two man operation.

Love to see more!

With a little bit of polish and a lot of example photos from the different types of film and what they look like when pushed, this app could really be improved! It would be great if they could include development times for the film as well, especially black and white!

At least their putting in the effort!

Nonangrygamer

This app clearly needs some work, but as someone who shoots 8x10 portra film, I am glad to see them putting in the effort to get film more out there so I can keep doing what I do. Hopefully they update some things with GPS locating and adding more labs to their lists as they are missing four labs in Boston alone. Example photos on film types would also be very helpful. But every app has to start somewhere!

Handy!

Props to Kodak for supporting the film enthusiast in this age of digital photography. As other people say, it can use some extra features, but this is a free app and is a great starting reference for the types of film a ail able and their application. With a bit more features this will be a 5 star app easily.

Newly updated, this app by Kodak is great! I love the B&W development timer as well as the sun calculator. Keep up the good work!

Keep on Updating

Recent update fixed prior glitches with the app. iPhone5 support is great and love the newly introduced Black and White Processing Tool.

Meh

My state isn't even an option in this app. Fortunately I already know a lab up the road i would think you'd know about it also. Seems you could track sales of chemicals to labs and then simply include those labs in the app. Not app related but your website is a nightmare to navigate to film products, especially movie films.
