Knit Companion is Fantastic

eeesue

Knit Companion is an amazing asset to my knitting!!!! I kept track of my pattersn on both my mini iPad and iPhone. My knitting now travels with me everywhere - doctor’s appointments and more! But it’s wonderful at home too! No more lost patterns. I pick up and start knitting hibernating projects easily. I can’t imagine not having it available! It’s changed my knitting life!

Lace Maven

JuditFoldi

I’ve been knitting for 65+ years and was always reluctant to do lace. Now I love lace after finding KnitCompanion. The only thing I wish for is a better way to organize patterns. It may even be there and I just haven’t discovered it. There are features I haven’t yet explored. I highly recommend this app!

Also Disappointed

JessicaKnits

I took a leap of faith and purchased a lifetime subscription to their previous app. They returned the favor by ditching that app and starting this new app, thus skipping out on their end of the lifetime subscription agreement with me. Sure, the old app still exists, but they will not be spending any more attention on it. Moving forward, I highly doubt I will purchase another subscription. Nor will I share this app with all my knitting friends. I’m embarrassed that I recommended it so highly.

Great app

Steep learning curve...wish I had all it’s abilities under my belt. Love what I do understand to this point❤️

Where can I get support?

Caron carlson

I purchased the setup+essentials right away and after one week of a free trial, my card was charged through Apple, but I have none of the tools. When I go to the Apple store it says I am subscribed but when I try to use any of the edit tools like quick key it says I have to buy the subscription before I can use those tools. REALLY frustrated!!! I even tried “restoring purchases” and logged in with my create2thrive account. So mad!! I really have tried everything reasonable. Update: they did reach out and evidently even though you sign in with the Create2Thrive account, you have to restore the “KnitCompanionNG” not sure why it does that after the free trial but it works now...

Learning curve

Phoenixarizona

Love the concept but have trouble understanding how to set some of the features up. Don’t understand some of the wording.

Same functionality but now it costs more.

Harder to use, same functionality, only now it costs more. Why is this such a hard concept to get?

Enjoying!

I really like this program. It stores my patterns and is a great help in executing the directions. Love the yellow and black markers that follow my progress as well as the chart layout markers. Also like the fact that you can put notes onto the pattern.

Keeps crashing

PJSc

I have tried setting up a text piece multiple times and just as I get to the end the app crashes. I’ve given up and I regret the subscription at this point.

A really helpful tool

I was introduced to this app by a fellow traveling knitter. I had my paper pattern fluttering in the breeze with pencil behind my ear trying to find my roll of highlighter tape while working a lace row. She opened her iPad, there was her lace chart, appropriate row highlighted and counters off to the side. No fluttering, no lost pencils, etc... I downloaded it and have used it since. Not exclusively but almost daily.
