An Easy Way to get Handymen and Plumbers I think the cool thing about the app is that it’s brain-dead simple: I had a leaky faucet, so I took a picture of it with Keepe, wrote a couple of sentences, and soon I had a guy over fixing the problem. The "Keeper" was a real nice guy too. Got the job done real quick. I was charged for the time spent. There was no $250 minimum as is typical with plumbers in the Seattle area.

The app experience is just a 3 step process. Almost too good/simple to be true. I wanted to have small jobs done around my house and requested a handyman through Keepe, and had a much better experience than using red beacon. Eli came promptly on time, was a good/clean person that I could trust and had the skills to quickly do various tasks around my house. I had him install curtains, wired racks, etc. All in all it was a pretty good experience that I'd recommend over finding someone from Craigslist.

I had Keepe replace a toilet and do a few other plumbing things, and they were very helpful. The app makes it easy to take pictures and send them to get the right kind of help. The plumber they sent was courteous, clean and fast. There was a minor technical hickup and the company founder called me to personally address it. Pricing ended up being pretty reasonable. All in all, a pretty great experience and I would use them again. The one feature I would like is the ability to request help in advance, like say the night before.

Requested a handyman at 11:30am on Tuesday and had someone at my office 15 min later. He was friendly, fast and efficient. He put together a cabinet for us that came in about a billion pieces with instructions that seemed to be written in code. He had it together in no time for about $50 less than two other handyman bids I had gotten. We will definitely be using Keepe again.

Good idea but doesn't work

The concept behind Keepe is great (i.e., match available contractors with demand), but it doesn't really work. Their main problem seem to be that no contractors are signing up so there is no one to do the job. I tried the app several times a day for several days (weekdays and weekends) over three weeks and each and every time I get the exact same result: my request is in a queue for 2 hrs to see if someone accepts the job. After 3 tries in a day you get an email from Keepe saying they are sorry and are working hard to get someone to do the job. Until they get serious about bringing contractors into their platform, this thing does not work. And if they really want landlords to rely on this to make repairs for their tenants, Keepe needs to get serious about having someone available at least some of the time. I can only imagine the trouble I would be in by now if the repair I requested was for a tenant... weeks later and still no one to do the work????

I've used Keepe twice already and I love it. The contractors have been responsive and kept me filled in on what was going on with my issues (first one was a clogged sink, second was replacing my front door), then fixed them quickly. Never again will I use Angie's List!

Love this app! My husband and I are so busy with work we barely have time to do anything ourselves. A friend recommended Keepe, so I tried it out and had someone come and install new blinds in our home. It was so simple to use and the app alerted us when our contractor was on the way, on site, and finished with the job. We’ll definitely be using this more.

I invited one of my tenants to use the Keepe app, she was able to download the app, submit a maintenance request, and have the contractor arrive at her doorstep all in within 1-2 hours. Great concept and execution ??
