Some video clips have nothing to do with the headline

Occasionally the video clip at the top of the article when you click on a headline has NOTHING to do with what the headline stated it would be. Very frustrating to have to watch the same advertisement to start every clip, and then the clip is unrelated to what the headline said it would be.

I have had this app for years. Usually use it for weather. The Covid drop down ad on the home page is annoying. And there’s no way of getting around it. There should’ve a way to exit the ad.

12/8/21: Once again - I updated the app, which I do love for news from the greater Sacto area, but now it’s buggy. I can’t scroll up to the top story, once I scroll down. Your sports news is frequently ancient. Stories often load to a blank page. Please debug! Latest update: terrible! Crashes immediately upon opening. C'mon, you guys! My iPhone 6 auto-updated yesterday, and I haven't been able to use the app since. One feature I'd really like to see is a "Corrections" section. Recently, when a Search and Rescue volunteer was shot in Nevada County, you erroneously reported (for how long, I do not know) that he had been shot in the head. I wonder how many horrified people still believe that...? Chances are, few people who'd read the original, error-filled story bothered to check the link again, once you'd made the correction that the volunteer was, in fact, shot in the hip. Irresponsible. It would also be helpful to have a link in the pull-down menu to Foothill/Lake Tahoe news. I see this heading while reading a story about this geographical area (where many of your readers and viewers reside), but there's no option for stories from this area, as there is for "Bay Area," "Stockton," etc., in the "News" section of the menu. Finally, enough slide shows! You even recycle slide shows! Just stop already.

reporting a congressional secret committee with only democratic members is not news, it is a political advertisement - shame on you - this type of story makes all your reports questionable - time to watch channel 40

The app is always up to date KCRA 3 news puts out fast news. And it’s the only news app we have.

They hardly ever report anything besides weather and COVID. For example the Forum building(many lobbying and legal offices that work in the Capitol) was broken into last night and currently the first three articles are about snow with not even a mention of the heist that could potentially affect many people throughout the state of CA.

Please broadcast in Lake Tahoe again!!!

I enjoy KCRA News and would enjoy if more if I could watch it on TV versus my IPad or smart phone. Please, please, please work out your differences and come back to Lake Tahoe!

I love this channel… gives news and weather four our area. We live in Kelseyville by Lakeport. We are not interested in the Bay Area news just our Northern Ca. News and weather. And of course our State Capital!

Missing volume control

Great app, BUT, it is extremely annoying that it lacks onscreen volume control for ads. There should also be a discrete/dedicated “mute” button. It’s awful when you launch the app and an ad begins to play loudly without a way to mute or turn it down. It’s disruptive and just should not happen. The user should be able to mute ads and the news video by default (like on Facebook) so this doesn’t happen.
