Last update made it unusable

This was a great app until the last update. When browsing stories or reading them ads keep popping up constantly. Makes the app totally unusable.

If you like being tricked into looking at ads, this is app is for you. I don't like it. Ads are made to look just like real stories. Also, no way to skip ads before watching any video story you want to watch. Very aggravating. I believe updates are Kare11's way of getting away from the horrible reviews it gets. Reviews start over with each update. The updates don't improve anything and most times make it worse.
Pop up video ads

I appreciate Kare 11’s app to catch-up on news, but lately there are video ads that pop up ever few seconds. This these pop up ads, it’s not possible to actually read the article. So, until there is a update that limits these I will be looking elsewhere for my updates.
Good content, adds are a pain.

I like being able too follow local news. The format and layout are easy to follow. The pop up adds that won’t go away are a pain and will probably be enough for me to drop this one. There are others out there with pretty much the same content.

Actual news articles are intertwined between advertisements for kindle and amazon romance novels and absolute garbage. Was a worthwhile app until the last update. Deleted from my phone.
Great for weather and school closings or delays.

I use the KARE 11 app mostly for detailed weather reports and to check for school closings or delayed openings. It’s easy to use for that, so it’s my go to weather app when I want to know more details than my iPhone weather app provides.

I really enjoy seeing the forecasts as well as pulling up the radar to see where the weather is going to/coming from.

This app is terrible. Often the video shown at the top of the story is not what plays. Some stories are so short and so vague one can’t help to think it’s the app screwing up.

Too many weather push notifications

Recently, weather notifications are pushed daily. I like knowing the weather, but it’s truly a waste of the push notice. It makes me really not pay attention to any other notices sent out. The app is fine otherwise.
