The real Ab
True to the original (at least the US version I played). Plays very well, considering the hardware the developers are working with. The only thing i wish for would be a hardware attachment that would give me analog joysticks for better control. I also wish those dang kids would stay off my lawn.

I wasted many quarters on this game in the arcade years ago, glad to see it here. BUT....not having the physical sticks brings this game down notch or two, nothing they can do about it, that's just how it is. I found myself constantly checking my thumb positioning because the fighter kept "hedging" instead of finishing attacks. All that being said, I loved hearing the sounds again, that was worth .99 alone. Buy if you're a fan, if you've never played it, you might get frustrated.

This was my favorite game growing up. Awesome job...its just like the original! Suggestions to make it even better: 1. It would be great if high scores could be entered on a "top scores" list like the original arcade game. 2. How about each match being a best of three? It's such a shame to go undefeated far into the game and lose on judgement when match time expires, or to lose just one match and have that be it...done. Thank you for a wonderful game!!!

My son likes this game. He has played it twice or three times since we downloaded yesterday and really likes it. He won two or more times. "I really like this but it is hard for me to complete levels" he says. He is 6yrs old and is working hard to win this game. He hopes to win all of the levels.

karate champ is street fighter's grandpa. and its awesome! all arcade games should be emulated just like this. perfect sound, crisp bright visuals (optional scan lines), and hd- photo realistic arcade cabinet style controls which don't cover up the game screen. no need for stupid gimmicks (like other retro emulations that add crap that was never in the original). just a simple, clean emulation job with crisp menus and controls.beautiful job guys.

This version is EXACTLY like the original arcade classic. I'm still blown away by how spot-on it is in terms of controls, graphics, "feel," everything. Just like the one that gobbled up so many of my quarters back in the eighties. After downloading it, I immediately found myself doing all the moves and combinations I used to use. (How is it that one's brain stores this kind of thing!?) A lot of fun, and three bucks is worth the trip down memory lane.
