Don’t get this if you’re not Korean

I got this so I could read Korean comics on kakaopage as I assumed if I made a kakoatalk account I would be able to do so. (Since it said that’s all I needed to do to access comics on kakaopage) But NOPE! It won’t let Americans read anything. Only a few chapters at the beginning of the series but not the whole thing. Couldn’t find one series I could read as an American. As everything was “not available in your (my) country or region.” Not to mention it forces you to add your phone number which I was extremely uncomfortable with. I don’t even know why this app is offered on the App Store in countries other than Korea being you basically can’t access many of the features of the app unless you’re Korean. What’s the point in even having this on the App Store in the US??? Idk maybe if you had a VPN it would work. But the fact that you need a VPN to properly use this app just shows how useless it is. (That is if a VPN would even work)

아이폰 아이패드랑 같은 칩셋인데 아직까지도 mac m1 네이티브로 지원 안하주는거 보면 아에 관심이 없다고 밖에 볼 수 없겠네요. 소스 코드 볼줄은 아시는건가요? 그냥 얼렁뚱땅 인수하고 돈될만한거만 덕지덕지 붙이는 느낌임.

I need help logging in because I don’t know my previous phone number. The site only states you can’t log in if you don’t know it. So what is it telling me to do give up? So I try to reach someone from the team and unless you’re in Korea you can’t even make contact. This is a joke.

The support team is unresponsive if you have any issues with your account it is nearly impossible to get help. They will just send you the same generic response on how to change your password, when what I need is to change my email because it got hacked.
Not able to use. Unable to create user ID

I refuse to update my phones iOS. I try to use another iPhone to use kaokao and am unable to use as it requires both a user ID which I never made besides email authentication. Email verification should be enough!!.

Kakaotalk has been with me for about 3 years now. Why do people say that everything is in Korean? You can change it into American. Personally Kakaotalk is my favorite texting app.
