Walking Amongst Ghosts

jonathank520

If you are looking for ghosters, you have found your app. If people are ghosting, you should not allow them on your app

meh.

mschultz

The severe lack of people, the constant upsell of their junk… just not worth using any more. Also, their “developer response” (to my review) is as empty as their app. Don’t waste your time.

Ladies beware! Terrible app stay away

7777bee

JSwipe clearly does not verify any of their profiles- every single contact on this app ended up being a fake profile. Behind the pictures of good looking men are versions of the same story: American doctors, UN peacekeepers or drilling supervisors working abroad. If you get as far as wanting to talk on the phone or video chat, they are unable or it turns out they are African men with US phone numbers. This is a common scam targeting women who fall for the men and ultimately are asked to wire money for some international emergency. Be smart, don’t waste your time or money!!!!

Can’t access app

Can’t even give this a rating as I can’t get into the app. Signed in with facebook, and it keeps saying you signed in with Facebook, open on Facebook. When I say confirm it just says the same thing again. Very frustrating

Spams you with pathetic Birthright ads. Buggy wasteland and they delete reviews

seattledebs

Update: still spams you with the same repeated ad over and over. Birthright seems to pay extra to have its off-putting ads flash repeatedly no matter how many times we swipe left. They’re wasting money; it just makes users resent Birthright and think they’re desperate for advertising. And it makes Jswipe look pretty desperate too. Do you have so little revenue that you have to resort to this? Boo. And don’t pretend you’re still “working on” this. You very obviously aren’t; it’s been happening for ages. We don’t want to hear it. (Spoiler: yup, getting the same stock pretense response of claiming they’re dealing with this in “future updates” which simply doesn’t reflect the fact that this is easy to change and has lasted for probably a year. It’s not a bug; it’s a [profitable at the expense of irritation] feature. At least own it, guys.) Also, any dating app that’s designed to ignore a user’s “no” in the hopes that if they keep trying it’ll turn into a “yes” is creepy af. Update: Now the ads that repeat ad nauseam (pun intended) —a problem they keep pretending they’re trying to fix—actually *flash* a barrage of pictures at you, making the mess even more annoying. If they wanted to convince us they care about our experience and are really trying to fix this months-old problem, they could do one simple thing: STOP SHOWING ADS UNTIL YOU’VE FIXED IT. Awaiting the crickets or excuse on that idea. Because no; showing an ad for the same crap thing 20x in a row makes them 20x the revenue. Previous, followed by canned developer response that’s easier than fixing the problem: Wrote a longer and very critical review. It “mysteriously” disappeared. Jswipe has had the same bug for months: it gets stuck on the same ad over and over (like, you could swipe left 20 times and it’ll still pop back up) and sometimes does this with profiles. Users have this problem across all os and versions, as you see from reviews. They know it’s a problem, have known for many months. New update hasn’t fixed it. Maybe because they can profit from users seeing ads repeatedly? Saying they just can’t figure it out leaves users thinking they think we’re naive and gullible. Also, it’s a wasteland at this point. Very occasionally a new user appears in the area, and I live in a large city. Probably because it’s so buggy. Don’t bother.

Not worth it

09'dj

There is no value here. Used j date years ago. No value in either site anymore

Waste of time

drjuddy

This App is quickly going the way of Jdate

This app tricks you into overpaying for a pro membership

Evanrb

They charge $25 for 1 month of pro service. After swiping for weeks with a range of about a 10 mile radius, I barely got any matches. Then the app stated that there where 11 people who liked me and if I payed for a subscription I would see who they where. I decided to pay because I was looking for jewish people to date without wasting my time at Hillel or Chabad. It turns out 10/11 of the people who had liked me where from over 2,000 miles away. The app should not use irrelevant information to trick people into paying for an insanely overpriced subscription.

Not working

Sweetsarahbear

When I try to open the app and connect to Facebook it won’t connect it and keeps bringing me back to the same page. I just got a new iphone so it’s not my phone it’s your app

Lots of bugs, repetition, ads, etc

Mhodin

I feel like Jswipe has gone downhill since bing acquired from Jdate. Might not be connected but in the last year the app has been very buggy. I’ll get the same three people over and over again. Whether you swipe left or right it will just keep coming back. Clearly a bug and it’s been going on for a year. Also the amount of ads is quite a lot and they do the same things in that when you swipe left they’ll just keep coming back. As the top dating app for J’s I’m honestly surprised this isn’t of higher quality. The bugs need to be fixed. Also I’ll get people in completely different states (People from TX show up and I’m in DC).
