Beautiful game, awful controls

SyrinxSean

Like others, I loved the game, breathtaking visuals, and clever challenges. But the controls were awful! You control your movement with your left fingers and the camera with your right. But the camera is WAY too fast, even on its slowest setting. I kept wanting to use the interaction from Sky, where they got it right and intuitive. I probably won’t play it through a second time due to how frustrating the controls are.

I usually don’t write reviews but this game made me feel things. I got teary at the end. It’s so beautiful.

Great and beautiful, but..

So I am a huge Annapurna fan and I played journey on my ps3. When I found out journey was finally on iOS like my hopes and dreams, I just had to get it. I finished the game on my iPad and had so much fun so I downloaded it on my iphone. Spoiler alert, it didn't work. Sometimes it would just not load and take me back to the home screen, but other times it would take me to the Santa Monica and Originally released on PlayStation screen then kick me out. I don't know if it's the fact that I have an iPhone 6+ but I am annoyed because I deleted several apps for journey. But other than that complication it's a great game overall.

Nothing

Black screen for about 10 seconds before it crashes itself out. Even tried redownloading, nada.

A perfect game marred by an imperfect port

Sansalvadori42

One of the many appeals of journey is getting lost in its surreal landscape of a world. The original on ps3 was gorgeous and a showcase game of last generation. So almost a week after SKY comes out for iOS, the new game by the original creators of Journey which has amazing benchmark defining graphics for the iPhone, we get this lazy low res port. What could the devs do to remedy this situation. Quite simple provide options for the consumer to choose how much resolution the textures will have and also provide a menu option of the recommendation for the phone. If they are trying to get it to work on all phones that’s fine, but the iPhone XS could easily run the original journey I un compromised. Heck my iPhone 8 can run sky which is a more graphically demanding game fluidly. Devs here is a promise. I will erase this review if you address the concerns I mentioned. Otherwise it stands as is.

No tech support for issue

I’ve been trying to contact the developer for 1 week as this doesn’t work on my iPad. They haven’t responded. Help!!!

Nice; sell an app that shows a black screen and then crashes. Can you make more great apps like that and take my money?

Profoundly intriguing gameplay

Dr Thomas Luong

I do love this game because there is a touching story and the graphic is absolutely incredible.

Journey

Crashes on older devices running iOS 12.4, even when App Store says “works on this device”. Does work on iPhone 7.

Kinda Boring, Crashes

Storyline is in the title of the game. Hope you like to walk, cause this game is a walking simulator with not much payout. Beautiful, but boring. Also the game was buggy on my 6th gen iPad.
