Sometimes CROSS worder...
While reading a book with a number of Japanese terms in the narrative, I wanted to doublecheck their meanings. None of them are translated into proper English! They are listed in English as identical to the Japanese words. And no definitions are supplied.

I think you should have settings for informal and formal language and that you should also include the romaji spelling under the kana or something like that. I think romaji would be the best thing you could add to this, but other than that I thinks it's awesome!

Google Translate is more comprehensive features wise but when it comes to pure translation I feel like nothing beats excite.co (which is the translation website this app is based on) and it edges out Google in this area just a bit. Been using it for years. Both are free apps however so I recommend using both if you want it to be as accurate as possible.

I downloaded this app. Few days back and currently enjoying its functions. I would have wished the app. to have the "Romaji" translation features, I guess it would greatly help Japanese language learners. I am grateful to the developers for a job well done. Thank you so much. My rating on the app is 5+

I am learning about Haiku Poetry. I have good dictionaries but I tried this app and discovered a new way to write my poems in Japanese. I am a 70 year old White, male, American and would like to visit Japan someday. This app is great and extremely accurate, I checked my dictionary and it's better than I thought it could ever be. I also like that I can retranslate the translation and arrive at a better English sentence. 5 Stars.
