2015 The Most CURRENT Material?!?

MatthewAV

This SHOULD BE an embarrassment to Apple to have such out of date material and call it their University. BUT, I don’t have all the facts (nor do probably 98% of the reviewers here). Just like grocery stores have us scanning and bagging our own groceries now, Apple is probably riding the wave of letting the Users do all the work for free, then featuring them in an “Apple Story”. Heart warming. Embracing Underserved Left-Handed Coders! Empowering users! (Code for: Free labor that doesn’t take sick days or need health insurance.) •• Sometimes departments in mega-corporations are purposefully sparsely funded to barely maintain content; they can’t even consider updating it. •• The goal: let the department wither away while using the mounting negative reviews as proof the department is not needed. ••> I personally know a Chief Scientist with more than 35 years at a certain GIGANTI-NORMOUS, industry leading and industry-standard software company (cool graphics, photography stuff). ••> Chief Scientist above told me that tactic was tried on him by new exec’s... ••> Then they found out he worked with the FOUNDERS in the early “garage days” of said software company and the founders knew him by name. ••> New exec’s were left trying to find jobs in an industry dominated by this company and branded on their foreheads with the reputations of p*ss*ng-off the FOUNDERS of said GIGANTI-NORMOUS software company. ••> Apple can’t be THAT CLUELESS about the state of content in their “University”.

I feel as if Apple should make this able to go onto a MacBook, it would definitely help to have it on a bigger screen so I could take notes better! Just a thought.

App doesn’t seem to work

Ethomas72365

I have for the past year and a half tried to use the app to give myself a refresher but the app needs to be updated. So when I go to update the app it says I have to buy the app again. I go to the App Store to download and it actually like it is going to download but it never does. The app came preloaded on my phone.

Keep on learning....

One of the cooler but low-key things Apple has done. My daughter, in high school, learned HTML/CSS from the Yale CS course. It inspired her to create her own hand-rolled blog. We love you iTunes U!

An open platform for personal growth

Soontobetoplaw

I learned how to program from a course on here! All the open content on this rich platform allows everyone to participate in learning and growth, at their own pace and ability level. Lots of respect for iTunes U!
