The other ISBN scanners required an account. This app does not. It works fine and allows you to share (export) just what you need.
Exactly what I needed but needs work

This is the only book organizer I could find that scans the ISBN number and OCRs it. I have many old books that have no barcode. But the organizer part needs work. Categories are really needed. You can create different bookshelves but that is not natural or automated enough. I'm glad I can export CSV files to share with other apps. Some apps can't even do that.

Could not locate data for half the books, including very popular books published in last five years. Deleted all the entries I made at a random point and there was no way to back up the data I had input, meaning I lost everything. Do not use.

Among ISBN scanners, as long as you keep the magnifying in low percentage this is the only ISBN scanner app that will do OCR scans of ISBN numbers from say the copyright page without bar codes!! That feature is incredibly valuable when cataloging older books without ISBN bar codes but still having an assigned ISBN number. I have tried several other ISBN scanners as part of book databases and no other app does this. With your list of ISBN numbers you shared with yourself, put them all in one paragraph 10 at a time separated by commas and do mass bibliography look ups for free at ottobib.com, another unassuming app kind of thing. This present apps makes mistakes but still is amazingly accurate!

What a great find I hoped this would be - an ISBN number scanner which scans my books using OCR, rather than barcodes, to acquire the number. Unfortunately, the OCR is not great. In one book, the OCR never once stopped misinterpreting a 6 as either a 5 or an 8 (in many dozens of attempts), & 70-80% of the time it misinterpreted a 0 as an 8. However, it did correctly read the ISBNs at least 80-100% of the time in eight other books. I have not yet found another OCR ISBN scanner app as good as this, so I will be using it.

I tried scanning the ISBN of four books that I have on my nightstand. It eventually got all four correct, although it wasn't clear whether it was recognizing the numbers or the bar code. It gave me correct info on each book, but since I already had the books, that info wasn't of much value. When do I ever encounter an ISBN code without the book?
