Normally I love Inspiration

I've been using inspiration for years on my mac and absolutely love it! Five stars. However I have a problem with the iPad app. When you select or place your insertion point in the document you're creating via the outline view, the selection is gray and the cursor is pale yellow - making it impossible to see - as the contrast is so low. How they could let such a problematic GUI out the door is beyond me? It's also a bit of a complex procedure to share the file created on your iPad with your desktop machine. I think if they were to fix that, then this would be a brilliant extension of their already fabulous desktop program!

I have an older version installed on my Mac and have used it for years to make graphic organizers for my classroom. The problem is compatibility with other programs: you must have a copy of inspiration installed in order to view or print with good resolution. I loaded the light version for iPad and started to play around. I liked the interface but realized too late that you have to buy the full version for $10 in order to delete a file! Really? I can see limiting the ability to print with a try-out version but to limit DELETING a file is just, well, ...I can't think of the right word. At any rate, this gimmick has cost Inspiration a sale and I will look elsewhere for a mind-mapping program.

I've been using Inspiration for years and this is a great extension of their desktop application. The price beats everyone and the feature set is deeper than anyone. Just go Inspiration for your mind mapping/brainstorming needs.

I would rate this three stars because it is an amazing app for diagrams except for the fact that you can't delete an actual diagram or template unless you had the $9.99 version, but as to the actual diagramming fact I think it's an amazing app for that purpose.

I Love having the ability to turn my mind map into a Text Outline. I've had the trial version for a few days and after a few hours of working with it I had to buy the full version. It's easy to use too. Plenty of options. It's just good!

This app is really cool and was easy to use for a science prject but after working on this app for 3 hours i clicked around some buttons to try and find a save button or something and it clicked out of my project, when I clicked back into it only speech bubbles were left. Nice but a waste if time.
Last decade application - don't buy

I was using inspiration desktop app for more then 5 years. It was simple use. Recently I bought an iPad pro. Downloaded the trail version, it was very limited. I needed to be able use my desktop version of maps in iPad and vice versa. The description says you should be able to sync with desktop version. To take the advantage of cloud sync i just purchased the full version. As soon as bought the full version, i realize it was a lie. There is no way to open or sync with desktop version. Only thing it allow is to import and export a desktop version, then you will have to save it in your platform version. The process is very cumbersome and distorts the fonts and structures. (This is how the cloud sync used to work in last decade, not in 2016). This is the worst utilization of my money to buy an iOS app. I wish i can get my money back. Please don't wast you money to buy this app, if you need to work on the same file using desktop and iPad. There are better alternative available out there. Thanks

Buy the premium version for $10. Plenty of clipart to help you organize your thoughts. You can import photos too. The app automatically converts your mind map into a Roman numeral outline.
