Easy to learn, difficult to master

Nathanael David Hall

Paint plus pinball = love. Easy to understand concept, insanely addictive, challenging but not intimidating. In a word, perfect.

Beautiful but flawed

iceman-p

A beautiful game marred by laggy touch controls. Sometimes the flippers will just not activate after touching the acreen.

Could have been great..

wordsmith451

The idea and aesthetics are awesome. The problem is, I constantly get delayed or no response, specifically from the right flipper. This means I’m fighting the game itself and it becomes unbelievably irritating. It’s a shame; this game could’ve been great. Instead it’s all looks.

Beautiful but fails to fulfill its promise

mmmpie

This is a beautiful toy. I love the interaction of the ball and the ink. For that I give it 4 stars. However... The puzzles aren’t hard enough, I was able to randomly pick out a few from every pack and complete them. None of the mechanics added to later tables presented a significant challenge. The pinball doesn’t really exist. There is no table which allows for sustained play. The ink panels are one shots. Once triggered they don’t reset. There is no score, and there are no sequences or complex interactions. In addition the paddles are not reliable. Perhaps the touch region is too small, or accidental touch rejection isn’t turned off. At any rate it isn’t very important, as there isn’t much in the game to lose as a consequence. The toy doesn’t explore the scope of play. None of the tables ‘paint’ a picture, there are no opportunities to experiment with drawing. I actually had the most fun on the title screen, using the ball to draw lines and play with the ink.

Fun game but lags and glitches

Flyingpanda126

It’s really fun, artistic, and relaxing, but can you guys fix the lag for the paddles? When I tap the screen the paddles quite often (at least once every game) don’t even move or lag.

Gorgeous

I love the simplicity of this game. There’s nothing crazy or unexpected to ruin the gameplay. Using the classic game of pinball, reducing the blinking lights and weird points, and applying beautiful graphics was a trifecta of game genius. What a success!

I Like The Game

Seattle Rex

It's pretty cool, and original too. I'm a pinball fan, and this one gives me a lot of entertainment. One thing irks me, though. The ubiquitous "Share" links everywhere. Someone wants to know that I held a pinball with my flipper for more than a couple of seconds in an IOS game? Really? You think they really give to dog farts about my macro accomplishments in a mobile pinball game? This nonesense is what's already rendered social media near-useless. This narcissistic notion that everyone wants to know what you're doing at any given point in time. It's awful. It's truly awful. And history is going to judge it harshly. You're on the wrong side of history here, folks. You don't HAVE to jump on every me-too bandwagon, you know, you could stand for something instead of being an enabler for narcissism which border on psychopathy. At least I wish there was a way to turn it off. Being reminded that you guys are part of the problem every 60 seconds actually does bother me a bit. "Wait, you're outraged about something before the herd instructs you to be outraged about it? Why, it's unheard of! You're a witch! A witch I tell you!" (I just used heard 3 times in a sentence, weird) Yeah, can you believe it? BTW, when they talk about who destroyed the soul of humankind by shoving unfettered self-centric behavior down everyone's throat, I hope you guys step up and at least some of the credit. Anyway, yeah, good game, which unfortunately contains crack for those with narcissistic tendencies, such as people who type 300 word rambling game reviews.

Nothing more frustrating than a beautiful innovative game that relies on nuanced controls and occasionally stutters or chokes when I’m hitting one of the paddles..!!! ??

Beautiful and great idea BUT....

Buttstartstupid

I bought this game because it looked like a ton of fun and, visually it was pretty to look at. However the controls need lots of work. It’s PINBALL!!!! So you would think that the tap to toggle the flippers would be super responsive right? Nope. Not at all. Most of the time you lose the ball because the don’t respond... hope they update it because I paid for this game and it would be cool if it actually worked.
