iNet shows the devices connected to your local network, for instance computers or routers, along with their name, IP and vendor. Most Apple devices are displayed with their correct icon. iNet scans on a very low level and shows even hidden devices.
All running Bonjour services are shown along with their real name.
iNet stores the last ten scans automatically. With the additional "save scan" feature you can save performed scans, name them and display them later for comparisons.

P.s.: iNet is the little brother of iNet Pro. This free version of iNet offers the same sophisticated network scan engine as the Pro version. And you can easily update to iNet Pro from within iNet if you want to use its full feature set.

I use this app to identify IP addresses of various devices that I may need to access via ftp. It works very well. I haven't used all the utilities yet but I plan to.

Lame treatment for legacy users

I've had this app since day one and used to be quite useful. Then one day app would not update and they offer this lite version that does next to nothing without in app upgrade. Lame deal for their legacy users. Sorry it's not that useful to overpay. I don't mind paying for a good app but not when they hijack a good app and all of sudden want more money when you've had it for so long. Weak business practices.

I am constantly looking for IP addresses if it wasn't for this iNet tool I would have to login to my Network dash board to find what I'm looking for. iNet makes these task and other much easier. It's one of the best network tools you will ever buy.
