Latency issue solved.

Steplander

I originally wrote a review which included a complaint about latency issues. Tapping any pad during record mode yielded about a 3/4 second delay. Solved; if you are running into this problem too, try turning Bluetooth OFF. As soon as I did this, the problem was solved. If you are going to record with this app, apparently, you cannot use a Bluetooth speaker or earphones. Wire it and it works great. The customer service link appears to be broken, but I was able to find a contact number for Akai and the rep was very helpful and is reporting the issue to the web developers. So, this review has been updated!??

Cool little beat maker

Musicmixer3

I'm impressed with this little thing. Tons of features on my iPhone? Super cool. Getting other packs from audiocopy makes it even more fun. My friends like it too lol

Drummerbooooyyyyy

Aj13elite

My IMPC is acting weird ??‍♂️ all I wanted to do is make loops so I can play drums and it's not even let me get into the app and finish making my loops ???‍♂️

Clip out

Goodshotman1

Happy with the app, but it needs an update due to the constant clipping out. Mine will play for 4 measures, then start skipping and clipping out. What's up with that?!

SO useful to have on your phone

icedcoffeejamez

It took me a while to figure out how to use all the features of this app. Mostly, because a phone screen is pretty small. But retronyms really did a great job of cramming this app with great stuff! There is time correct, fx, a sweet mixer, and tons of default programs to use. Can't really beat how convenient it is since it's on your phone too..

Needs a lot of work, it might even need a redesign

Marzilla990

All the sampling, menus, and editing work nicely, although at times it will cut out all audio while cutting a sample (even on other apps, I either have to restart my phone, or do some stuff in settings). The app will also crash occasionally while editing samples, this just the starting problem. The annoying thing about the iMpc for iphone/ipod is that it REQUIRES every edit to a sound/sample to be renamed as a seperate sound itself, rather than be an edit to the sound on the board, the ipad version doesn't do this, and it's really frustrating. I also don't like how I can't delete saved sounds in my libraries, you really need to fix that, seriously. The exporting is atrocious, whenever I export a sequence via itunes file sharing, most of the time all the exported audio is extremely choppy. Exporting is even more annoying because of how god awful the sound quality is (again, it's choppy). Another reason why this app needs a redesign or an update, is because of the inability to edit the quantization of drums and sounds manually. Getting rid of the 3D performance and adding a timeline would make things much easier, the 3D performance does not work well, it just doesn't. I wish this app had compatibility with garage band. impc pro for ipad works great with garage band, and is really easy (and not incredibly buggy, the ipad version can be slow at times, but not buggy). point is, this app has really great potential, more potential than the ipad app that I keep referring to, because not only is the workspace easier on ipad, it's faster and efficient, and by making the workspace easier on iphone by fixing these problems will make me want to use this app more often while on the road, just in case i forget my ipad.

Piano notes and drum at the same time?

Aww ya tricked me

This app used to be awesome for what I needed it to be but lately when going to create a beat, the pad both plays a piano note and whatever other sound associated with that particular pad. So Instead of just the assigned sound for one pad (ex. Bongo, clap, finger snap, hi-hat etc) it will play a piano note AND a clap at the same time and I don't know how to turn this off as I don't know how it even can about.. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Needs some work

Thrill9333

Will only record one track on each sequence. And interface is a little weird. Has potential to be great

Abandoned?

Zjenji

Coming up dangerously close to the dreaded “1Y” since last update, from which few apps return. This needs to be updated for iOS 11. Please developer, do not abandon such a stellar app!

Needs More Guidance

ZD?㊗️✊

I love the sounds on this app and it’s been pretty cool so far. I would however though want you guys to let us be able to send the loops we make to ourselves whether it be through email, messaging , etc. I’ve found it really hard to send drum loops I’ve made to myself and since i play guitar on FL (don’t have the things to record on my phone) i need to be able to send the loops from this app to my hard drive or Dropbox. Please make it compatible with newer apps and things such as email, iMessage, etc.
