Things needed to make this app great
Geirix

Better user interface. Selection of downloading photos easier. Raw converter in app. Support for at least 4500 pix image size. Continued download of selected images even if app is not in forground or if phone gors to sleep.

NEEDS UPDATE FOR K-1 firmware
Pentax Pat

App needs a big update. Will not download photos when screen sleeps. Live view no longer works with Ricoh Firmware. Can't see what the K-1 is seeing to take pictures with the family etc. Please Update

Means well, rough edges

Primary function I wanted was to save photos. Transfer itself works great, but incredibly difficult to initiate it. Pretty buggy- holding over the photo pops up a quick display, but then it disappears

Can upload only one photo at a time
WDGeist

The ap let's you check as many pics as you want but it refuses to upload more than one at a time.

Not easy to download
MPJ_808

The pop up menu makes it almost impossible to download a picture. Please fix this!

Awful buggy hopeless app

As wonderful as the Ricoh GRII is as awful and useless this app is, unfortunately Ricoh/Pentax did not bother to create a user friendly useful app, it sure looks that they put no effort or resources in developing this app. Extremely convoluted way to download photos, one file st a time, a 2 step download to get the pictures to the phone library, extremely not intuitive. I wish they would look at the likes of Fuji, Sony or Canon and figure out to make a useful app. Do not download, it's just an exercise in frustration

Great wifi remote
DerekKeil

Allows great control over camera and settings along with file transfer

Could be better.

A little glitchy, some bugs when transferring photos. UI could use an overhaul, feels old and slow.

Nice idea, but buggy
jlevinger

Image transfer doesn't work for me with my K-1. I can see the photos, but clicking circles to save to camera roll or share to Facebook doesn't work. Can take a screenshot as a workaround, but the resolution is diminished. Pentax, you should be better than this.

Crappy & confusing
leftspin

I don't expect much when a camera company writes an app but this one defines a whole new level of crap. The interface is baffling and filled with incomprehensible icons and workflows. Really, guys, if you can't pick meaningful icons, stop using them and use WORDS. Most of the time the buttons don't even work! Did you outsource this to some 15-year-old in the Ukraine? You'd do much better to just create a standard app that conforms to Apple's HIG instead of inventing your own UIs that hide completely from sight, like that pop-up pie menu that only appears if you hold your finger over a photo. It would be easier to implement and maintain, and a million times more understandable than this abomination. Start over, there's nothing worth rescuing here.
