Not a good experience

Shadow2soul

I signed up to iFit Coach through the app in Feb 2018, because the features plus advertised free iFit Vue for subscribing. I got the email about how to claim the Vue and filled out the information. Never received Vue. When my subscription renewed, the money was taken and my account was reverted back to free. I contact customer service and they have no record of me paying (shows clearly in iTunes history) and tell me I had to do a year subscription to get the Vue. Okay not only is that not an option when you subscribe through iTunes, they don’t mention that on the advertisement. I checked multiple times..fine print..the only condition I could find was that you have to live in the US.

Okay app, but interface needs updating

#1 positive note: The app itself hasn’t crashed on me yet—been using it for about a week. So that’s a big plus. Critiques: Sleep- The app’s stats seem pretty accurate except for the sleep stats, which I know to be a bit off: I use the SleepCycle app, and would be willing to trade that for the consistency and convenience of keeping my workout and sleep stats all in one place (iFit). However, every morning when I open this app, it says I’ve slept 5hrs 43mins, when I know I went to sleep at 9:40pm and woke up at 5:50am—more like 8 hours. This glitch has happened the entire week (down to be minute) so I’m pretty sure it’s a bug in the app. Interface- I have an iPhone 10, and I know what I’m about to say is probably a (very) small feature on the developer’s list of priorities (and i get that), but the app’s display doesn’t fit the new screen/interface of the iPhone 10. This is more of an “annoyance” factor, but it definitely contributes to the overall experience of the application for those iPhone 10 users like myself who download a new app, click it open, and immediately feel as if it’s outdated solely because of the outdated display. Otherwise, it’s a good app and I’m looking forward to seeing it mature.

Finally something easy to use!

I received my Fitbit from my daughter for my birthday, which was last month. I know, I waited quite a while to get things started but I tend to get overwhelmed with anything that has to do with technology of any kind. Well, I finally decided today it wasn’t going to do it by itself. I was extremely excited and so happy that I could figure it out on my own. So, so far so good. I am so excited because I start a new job tonight and am excited what the data is going to tell me. Thank you so much for making it easy for someone is lucky if she can check her email, lol. Thanks again!!!

IFit can’t play nice with Apple

The only reason I still pay the $15 a month is because I have a treadmill that has some nice workouts from iFit. But they try to force you into paying for a whole year in one shot. If you try to use Apple subscriptions from the app it won’t work and you have to dance around with costumer service for half an hour and give them your credit card info to renew. If you don’t call customer service the only option on the website is to pay for a full year upfront. They said that the problem is on Apple’s side but I have a few other subscriptions and they all work fine. The other problem I have with iFit is the data the collect from either a wearable or fitness equipment can’t be synced to HealthKit. I like all my stuff in one place. I use MyFitnessPal to input my weight and diet and another app to measure my heart rate. I would just like the info from the iFit wearable and treadmill to sync with everything else. Is that too much to ask? When I sent an email to iFit asking about syncing with HealthKit they said that Apple and iFit are separate companies and that’s why the data can’t be synced.

#Disappointed

...fun game

Seems like it would be a great app but it doesn’t work with the iFITNESS activity tracker watch and it doesn’t sync with the iFITNESS app to share data. #Disappointed

Lacks HealthKit or Apple Watch Support

deserthippo359

This is an okay app: the sleep, exercise, and iFit Coach are all okay but this apps falls short big time for Apple users who are in the Apple ecosystem- things like Apple Watch, and HealthKit syncing. I’m very disappointed to own a brand new $600 piece of exercise equipment and to lack such basic in app functionality as integration with the platform you publish your app on. This is an iPhone app, so I would like to see HealthKit syncing natively built in and support for other fitness trackers—like Apple Watch. The app is also sort of clunky and feels outdated—it could use a modern UI. It also crashes from time to time.

App has bugs

kelkid1991

It used to work fine then after the last update it won’t allow me to open the app. Hopefully they fix this

Don’t do it!

Coleb78

I downloaded the app and joined iFit, only to have the app consistently crash and not log my runs. I have canceled my membership and requested a refund 3 times and haven’t gotten any response and the keep changing me! It’s a trap!

Nutrition search is terrible

If you’re not able to scan the barcode, it’s almost impossible to find the food item you want to log. I used the previous iFit app for 2 years and this feature worked really well. The way it works in the current app is frustrating enough that I doubt I’ll renew my subscription.
