Not as impressive as I expected for the price

Missing so many ingredients and food items. Lacks name brand foods and restaurant foods. The first time I used it, I took to grocery store and couldn't find more than half the items I was purchasing. Very frustrating & waste of money. I expect more for the price. I have hundreds of apps and this one made me so disappointed that I am writing my first ever review of an app.

Disappointing

This is the first app I have been disappointed enough to review! The foods are very limited, and the recipes require you to enter each ingredient (from the very limited choices of foods listed). I wasted my money on this one!

Good start...

This app has the right idea. It just needs a much more complete food list. I have even found numbers that don't match the IF book! It needs the ability to add foods as well. There is a lot of potential here. I am looking forward to an update to make it the great app it should be.

Great App!

I love this app. Unfortunately, I have adult onset stills disease and it's very important that watch the foods I eat. Ever since I started using this app, I can honestly say that it has helped me reduce the rashes and joint pain and I have not had any fevers. I will admit that it is not to change the way you eat. Buy this app makes it easier. Thank you so very much for making this app!

Like it; hope to love it.

I have fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis, both affected by inflammation. After reading about how foods affect inflammation, I decided to do what I can with a change of diet. An on-the-go working mom, an app with IF ratings is the most efficient way for me to alter my foods so I will hopefully feel better. This is the most I've ever paid for an app, but I felt it would be worth every penny if it helps me feel better. I like the concept of the app and find it helpful, but I would like to see more foods. For instance, I could not find pretzel, and I would like to select tuna salad for lunch, rather than add tuna, then mayo. I think enough people eat tuna salad that it could be on a fairly basic list. Also, in future versions, I would really love to see some food suggestions for meals based on what I typically eat to help me keep a positive total for the day. For instance, today I was at -120 before dinner. I didn't know where to begin with my meal plan. Maybe this will come more easily once I learn some food values. Looking forward to mote food selections in the listing though.

Luv it!!

Good start needs more

If you are serious about reducing inflammation this is the best app out there. I use it to help keep my autistic son on an anti-inflammatory diet. It has some really good features. I like the journal tracking feature. You can easily see your IF number for the day along with your calories, protein, fat and carb intake. I also like the recipe feature. You can create your own recipes and it calculates everything per serving. I like using this to create simple recipes for things we eat often like peanut butter sandwiches so I don't have to record each ingredient separately each time. However, the list of food items-while extensive- is rather incomplete. Sometimes there is not even a close substitution. Also there are some differences from the ratings in the book. There is no place to put notes or any cooking instructions in the recipes. So I am stuck not being able to enter all ingredients fir some recipes. Overall this app is a good start. I think it will be great when more items are included.

Agree it's a good start.

Works well but needs more foods in the database.

Limited

Could be a lot better. Very limited. No spell check if you don't get it exactly right there wont be any results

List of foods still needs work

Overall I would give it five stars for ease of use (searching food items, adjusting portion sizes) but they loose *at least* a star for the food list. It doesn't include common items like ice cream (an occasional splurge which I was trying to be good about reporting) but has multiple entries for wild game like elk, antelope, and dove. Unless someone in their family hunts, how often are most people going to come across these? I would also recommend they add "grams of fiber" to the things measured.
