Great game, great reboot

The re-makers of this game did a great job bringing back the feel and familiarity that made IWD1 popular. A touch-screen port to iPad appears mostly seamless. It's a fun game that preserves the original game quality with a lot of potential for replayability and exploration of development details. The game has a few minor bugs or unintended consequences (what game doesn't, if you spend enough time playing it) but overall they did a good job fixing some of the old bugs that the original was prone to. There are some opportunities to add some labels to the screen to help players with non-intuitive aspects. In the original game you had a mouse and the cursor would change when waving the mouse over dynamic aspects on the screen, thus prompting the player to realize something could be interacted with. However the touchscreen port means there is no cursor and thus some of the on-screen interaction is not clearly identified. Overall: great game, and I hope the makers continue the progress with the sequel: IWD2

Whenever yoy try and enter text the screen goes black. Other than that: its FANTASTIC. It needs an update soon

Hi! Beamdog Oberhaul games! I want to know about your plan to deal with iOS 11 update. I have all of your great games BG1 BG2 IWD and Planescape : torment. When I felt the time is ticking, still I have a doubt about 'could I play those great games when the time has come?'. For all fans, tell us your plan. Thank you!

What the hell man I just bought this game and it's telling me it's slowing my phone down and needs an update come on overhaul get it together this is insanity I expect better from you guys

I loved this game on PC, on iPad it blows. Precision is a huge problem if you group attack in close... you'll kill your own players! If I could return it I would, it's going to stagnate and never be played, super irritating.

Update: They updated the App!! And yes, it works flawlessly! I'm am completely satisfied with the producers, now! It IS a shame, though, that it took them this long to update the App, but I'll take what I can get. And the optimization for the iPad Pro works like a charm. Even the quality of the graphics improved! Well done, Overhaul Games! Well done, indeed! (Now just get that Baldur's Gate: EE updated!) "This App may slow down your iPhone. Please contact the developer to update the App." Update #4: Still nothing, yet I added one more star to my rating because, according to the website (as of the 5th of July 2017), an update is "on the way" for BG:EE and BGII: EE (they added in ID:EE as an afterthought, so hopefully there as well), but no ETA. I'll update my rating IF this app gets updated. Update #3: Nothing. I've tried contacting support, yet the iOS version of this game isn't even available to select on their website, and you can't contact support without selecting a title. Epic fail. Update: Still no update! Send me the code and I'll update if for you for free! I just want this updated! Update: Still nothing. Are you guys kidding me? Oh, wait, I got it. You're gonna wait and make this "free-to-play" then put ads and make an in-app purchase to remove them, right? Just update the game! I paid good money for this!!

Been playing BG1 and 2 and IWD 1 and 2 since around 1999. My favorite game of all time.. I kept the discs for all of them and would occasionally revisit them throughout the years on my old VAIO. I bought this on App Store and Playstore and it’s great to be able to access these games on my phone and tablet. It truly feels like the future. The newest update is incredible. Much improved UI and resolution, the updates to map and health bar, the much better resolution when zooming in. The ability to zoom out farther.. the greyscale on pause.. plus everything feels more streamlined. For old school players/ Faerun OGs and novices the game is worth$10.00 bucks. Simple.. one of the best and most immersive RPG worlds, with great strategy and lore. If you haven’t played Baldurs Gate 1 and Two. Those are must play RPGs

Not sure why, but this game is suddenly taking up about 5 inches of screen real estate on my 13” iPad Pro. Same with Baldur’s Gate II. Please fix. This app was too expensive and too recent to be sunset.
