This is a good program, but “sticky keys”

I really like this program. It functions like my 48gx. However, there is some bug that keeps the function or shift arrow (purple pointing to left) from posting. I can press it and see it pressing on the screen key... but it doesn’t always activate that mode. So, with this inconsistent, errors happen. An example is with unit conversion. Rather than convert inches to mm, it multiplies them! Not good! Please fix this! I think the program worked without this problem not that long ago.

I downloaded this app because I use an HP48G daily. Sadly the app crashed and won’t restart. Back to Free42 for me.

I have a 48gx and I also use the emulator on windows. I basically can’t use a normal calc anymore :) The acid test for me is that the on-a-f reboot sequence works! Now if my 48gx dies I won’t cry as much. Thanks!

Spent last 15 years using this calculator for engineering calcs starting in college. Mine finally quit working. This app is exactly what I was looking for since replacements are scarce and expensive. Thanks!

Good emulator of the real thing

This version is an identical copy of the original calculator, down the the graphic interface. There was a previous reviewer that complained there was no landscape mode. The reason is simple. There isn’t one on the real calculator either. This performs every calculation that the original does. I have compared them side-by-side. Even programming it is the same. The only issue I have with it is occasionally it will hang up so it won’t update the display as you enter things. Right now I have to close and run the app several times to make a calculation. Something Apple did with their iOS updates is messing with this app. Hopefully the developer will get an update done for it soon. Overall I have been very happy with it and it has come in handy at my work.

After first download, was locked up. Uninstalled and reinstalled and now works. I use this mostly to calculate RLC circuits, using the complex math functions. Keys work much better than another HP48 app, especially on the iphone. Only suggestion is that it would be nice if it would invert the screen when flipped over. Update - 4 years later in 2018. Have not had any problems recently, several years with locking up that I had described previously. I still would really like it if image would rotate with ipad, since I usually use my ipad in landscape orientation. Update Aug 26, 2018 - locked up again, had to remove and reinstall and it works again. One more request to allow use in landscape mode. I use this app almost every day.

Download this for a bit of nostalgia. I prefer this to any other calculator out there. The unit conversions are great, I like the hp input order. Excellent app! Thank you for creating this emulator!!!

This is just how I remember my old HP48GX minus the tactile interface. It has all of the same functionality as I remember. The only problem I have with it is that the touch interface can be a little finicky at times and take a couple of presses to work.

I like this emulator it it definitely feels like the real thing. My app locked up after one of the Apple updates, I’m guessing. Anyway like one of the other reviewers said an uninstall/reinstall and it’s back like new.
