Outstanding Emulator

First off, it is astounding to have so much of the functionality of the original HP48 series calculator in this app! Almost all of the functions are identical. For seasoned users, this is a lifesaver. Outstanding work porting this over to iOS. That said, there are a few things on useability that would push this app over the top! 1. Increase the hit box sizes of all keys. There is no reason to have dead spaces between the keys. This only makes it impossible to actually hit the keys you want reliably every time. 2. Enable the beep functionality. Aside from the nostalgia of hard coding songs in programs, this is another key interface issue since the flat screen removed the tactile feedback for key presses. 3. There is a serious bug in the KEYS interface that prevents making necessary changes. Simply entering the screen menu causes all arrow key presses to skip to the end of line everywhere in the app and can’t be cleared without reinstall. Fix the keyboard hit boxes so keypresses are more reliable and you’ll go to 5 star. Thanks for all your work on this app!

Downloaded it. Keys didn’t work. Nice pic of the classic HP-48! But, I could have just took a pic of my real HP-48GX, then tried to calculate something off image, and not have to wait for the ap to download.

If you are familiar with the HP 48 series you will love this app. I still use mine because of the amazing unit conversion system which is still better than anything I’ve found 25 year later and this does it.

But it locks up too often. Another pet peeve: The function keys (the ones that let the other keys serve multiple purposes ) are too hard to press...it takes several attempts to get them to stick. Absolutely no replacement for a real calculator.
Love the HP48 calc, but not the app

App keeps freezing and is not very responsive. You have to type very slowly in order for each stroke to be recognized. I’m on an iPhone 10. I had a similar app on an android phone and it worked seamlessly. Wish this could work the same.
Just like the real thing

I have been using this app for over 5 years and it’s a definite plus to own on your device if RPN is your preferred calculation input. Lately with version iOS 12, the app has started to malfunction. Much like how felt when my “2” button stuck on my real 48GX, my anxiety has slipped into the app version on my phone. Please review the code for functionality in this version and future versions of iOS.

I’ve been a HP RPN user for 4 decades. This app is a great emulation of my real HP48GX. Unfortunately, it sometimes hangs up. Occasionally, I have to uninstall and reinstall the app to revive it. The developer needs to bug fix/update for the newer iOS versions.

When I installed this application it presented a memory loss screen. I used the same calculator in college and recalled if you press and hold the bottom left key, and the A and F key, and then release them all at the same time you get a prompt recover your memory. I tried it, thinking what do I have to lose...and it worked. I selected Yes to recover the memory and now have a fully functioning RPN graphing calculator. I remember paying about 400 or 500 bucks for this in 1987! Kudos and thank you!
