Best calculator HP ever made!!!!!

LOVED this calculator in college. It got me through many math, physics and computer science courses! My original lasted almost 15 years and in the end was held together with glue and tape. When I open this up, it feels like the real thing! Unbelievable attention to detail!!!! If you need a good calculator for math, well worth the price!!! Had to dig out my old notes and manuals.

My HP41CV was my best friend and helped me get through engineering school and also pass professional engineering exams. Then about 15 years ago it died and HP refused to repair it, I have missed since, and owned every newer HP calculator but nothing compared to the 41. Then I found This App and works just just like the original, now just need to re-learn to use it. Amazing job. Thank you!! Thank you!!

I grew up with the HP 41 and I still use one. But this is even better. It has RPN, all the functions, and it is so customizable. It's like the HP 41 evolving into a modern artistic version. Kudos to the designer. And thanks for the regular updates and improvements.

If you were a HP 41CV user you will find this application extremely useful. It will give you more tools than the original calculator and access to the entire HP 41 CV data.

I realized with this latest update i wasn't certain if I'd ever reviewed the app, which is frankly one of the most ungracious things I've done as an app consumer! This wonderful bit of software was one of my first additions long ago in the iOS ecosystem. It's been my standard ever since - reliable and exactly what I wish. Originally, I was still grieving the loss of justifying keeping my HP devices with me - and the newer ones were such lower quality, with few alternatives for RPN calculations. I originally began using this app simply as an RPN replacement with layout and functionality I'd become accustomed to through years of use. In the end, however, I ended up learning MORE and becoming a more effective user with the app than I ever bothered to be with the dedicated device. More recently, I have begin using the iPad version much more with the tape screen column. Yes... I remember the 48s dot matrix accessory... More than a nostalgia skin, however, the app is a hand calculation powerhouse. I believe anyone who invests a few minutes in learning RPN for arithmetic can benefit immediately - but beyond that, the payoff is vastly greater. This is a model of device which taught me the power of mathematics, became a professional necessity, and also a tool to explore. The developer has excelled in sharing with us something which doesn't in the end impede our growth or productivity by appearing easy, but rather offers vastly more with a *real* tool. Thank you. I never thought I'd leave my old HPs behind until they died - but you did one better, allowing a fondness for my favorite tool to continue on with me!
A Flawless Emulation of the Classic RPN Calculator

The emulation works perfectly. Bells and whistles are available but don’t interfere with the functionality. I haven’t tried any of the bells and whistles so I can’t speak to their utility. But I am happy to testify that the full functionality of my beloved old Hewlett-Packard calculator now runs flawlessly on my iPods and iPads. No doubt it works on an iPhone also, but I don’t use an iPhone. Thank you to the developer for this gem.

Really happy he continues to develop this calculator app. It's pretty much the most feature-rich option you'll find and the updates continue after so many years. Very few apps see as much development over the years as this one and it deserves your purchase if you're on the fence. So happy it continues to be developed.

The HP41cx+ calculator uses Reverse Polish Notation (RPN) which is an absolute must for me. The HP41cx+ program by Antonio Lagana faithfully replicates the original HP41 and adds all the bells and whistles which were later developed for the calculator all in one package. Not only do you get the fabulous HP calculator but you get all the overlays, the ability to run a tape with graphics, the extra memory, all the programming functions, the extreme precision and RPN. This program yields an excellently fully functioned, easy to use calculator. It is a joy to use!
