Siri doesn’t seem to work despite update description

GetRidOfWires

The new update description says you can say “Show my H-Vee Fuel Saver code” to Siri. I downloaded the update and It doesn’t do that.

No Siri Support

crispybuttercup

Contrary to notes on the latest update, asking Siri to do anything with My Shopping List only ends with Siri saying I will have to continue in the Hy-Vee app. I even tried speaking verbatim the examples given. At least Siri now understands Hy-Vee instead of high v. Also searching for Chicken Cordon Bleu in your app is not recognized despite being in your ad this week. Please add Apple Pay to your stores. If Fareway and Aldi's can, surely you can. Long overdue.

Don’t believe all the negative reviews

GridUser

TLDR: This update of the app works perfectly on my iPhone 7 (with the most current OS). Date of this review is Dec 7, 2017 While looking thru the reviews, I found that most of the 1-star ones are for versions BEFORE the current one (9.7.0). I wish there was a way (on the phone) to sort reviews so that you’re seeing the most recent ones. I think you can do that on the iPad app, but I haven’t figured out how to sort them on the phone. A few features/fixes I’d like to see are: 1) Support for ApplePay (I realize this is a Hy-Vee corporate responsibility). This would obviate the need to carry yet another card in your wallet (or have to say your phone number out loud in the checkout line). 2) A way to scan the UPC of items that I use, to add them to the Shopping List. In other words, if I like a certain cereal and am running low, I‘d like to scan the code on the box and have it put that item on my list. 3) When scrolling through the Deals/ad, it takes FOR-EV-ER to get to the end. The app seems to repeat items that you’ve already seen, which is a time waster when putting together a list. 4) Assuming that Hy-Vee is tracking my purchases, if I never buy Pampers or kitty litter, those things should be at the bottom of the list of ad items. It should also put all the ad items of a particular category, meat items for instance, next to each other on the Deals/ads, rather than separating them with booze (or kitty litter) in between. 5) The location function isn’t usually correct, though I haven’t tried to use it in quite a while because it didn’t work well in previous versions. If it did work right, the above problem might fix itself. 6) It would be great if the app could check the current ad when you enter an item on your Shopping List. For example, if you decide you need eggs and just type in eggs, the app should check the current ad and, if eggs are on the ad, offer to put that on your list instead of the generic word “eggs” that you typed. 7) My wife and I both have cards and it would be great if, when I add something to my shopping list, it would show up on hers too, because our cards are (supposedly) linked. Also, if I add a manufacturer coupon on my card, it should show up on her card too. I have Family Share on our iCloud account turned on so, in theory, it should work that way. 8) Have specials specifically for users of the app to encourage people to get it and use it. I have to believe it would be in the best interest of Hy-Vee marketing to know (and track) what customers are buying, so they can target them with specific deals. I know this happened once with eggs a while ago, but I haven’t seen it again. Maybe it IS still happening but I’m not aware. Overall, I love the app and think that many of the 1-star reviews are over-exaggerations, or are for problems that have since been corrected. I am going to send my comments/suggestions directly to the developers, so that I’m not trashing a perfectly good app without giving them a chance to reply and/or fix the problems.

Completely unusable

RV1024

Where to start......impossible to log in - just shows the little flashing red “h” and the login never completes. Item lookup in the store works about 2% of the time - almost always says “Cannot reach the server, please check your internet connection”.

Small issue

hbeosnqh

When scrolling through deals on the app every so often it repeats items for a section already viewed.

Not very functional

Dana lawyer

The application repeatedly makes me choose the store, even though it asked me to set my home store which I’ve done several times. I would like to just set it once and be done unless I change it and not have to keep resetting it every time I move from screen to screen.

Useless store locator.

mmbrownie

I don’t allow apps to track my location. So the only other option to find a store is a national map with NO STORES listed?!?!?! Deleted.

Virtually Worthless

Ms. Kevin

The current version of this app is virtually useless. Every time I try to use it I have to wait for it to download. What is this crap? Why doesn’t it update like every other app through the App Store? Why must I wait for it to download every time I use it??? And then when I’m in the app I want to see the sales like they are in the newspaper, not where you have to scroll through them. Every other grocery store lets you see the newspaper view, so why can’t HyVee do the same? If I want to see the newspaper ads I have to open my browser and look at the HyVee website, so what is the point of having the app???? Also it is virtually impossible to find an item or its price. Why isn't there a scanner so you can scan bar codes like every other grocery store has? I am deleting this worthless app and will check sales on my browser where I can actually see the ads instead of using this bastardization of an app.

Apple Pay

Lauthier

Why is there an option to add my Fuel Saver to my Apple Wallet, but you don’t accept Apple Pay? Time to get with the program. Also, you should have aisles online on here, or make it a separate app. Whatever.

Makes shopping easy!

Chiefswin

Love this app that knows my HyVee store and the correct aisle. Simply sort by aisle and shopping is a breeze! In addition, my wife and I share the app so we are always in sync with the grocery list.
