I like the update, but it needs some debugging

The new interface will take some getting used to, but I always appreciate more puzzles (especially those yearly packs of weekly ones). I was able to load my previous save data from the in-game option menu (although I remember having a LOT more rainbow brushes...). Now, I don't think it's saving any of my new data. I've done this week's Tuesday puzzle at least twice, and when I looked at it today, it was still blank. I did a puzzle or two from the 2017 pack, and they vanished. Gonna wait until things get patched before I continue with the game.

This used to be one of my all time favorite iOS apps and I've been playing it for years. But the new update is awful: - It deleted all my sardines I've been gathering for several years. - The animations when painting are very bouncy now, which often causes me to lose track of the lines and paint the wrong squares. I never had this problem before. - Those horrible sparkles on the puzzles are infuriating. They indicate a specific square that needs to be solved, but in picross you can't just solve any square you want! So instead, you have to live with these annoying, distracting sparkles on your puzzle for several seconds or minutes while you try to race the clock to solve the puzzle faster. - Solving the sparkling squares gives coins. I have no idea what coins are for. - Content like the weekly puzzles are locked behind a gate requiring level 5. I don't know what level I am, how close I am to the next level, or how much I am progressing. - I got some fish I can feed to my cat. I have no idea what this does, but apparently you can buy more fish for real money.

I was able to restore all of my old games and brushes after starting the new update. However, because I was so far into the game, I don't have the opportunities to earn all of the coins and thing I would have if starting from the beginning. I may play through again anyway. I still can't figure out why we need to feed the cat fish. I tried one and nothing happened (that I noticed). My only concern right now is there is a subtle color difference between what I have painted and the little square to choose the color and sometimes I find that I pick the wrong one. There also seems to be more adds. If the price was right I would be willing to purchase the app to avoid apps, but I don't see the option anywhere.

ETA: Now that it’s been updated after a year of no updates, I edited this to give it a 5 Star rating. My original review is below. I love this game — it’s a unique twist in Picross games and I enjoy it. I find it more challenging than the normal Picross rules. I’m glad that we get a weekly new puzzle, and there are a lot of normal levels to play through and work to get mastery of. But — it hasn’t been updated in over a year. I would love more normal levels (I can even design some for them!) and would really love the 2017 weekly puzzle pack. Please, developers, send us the 2017 pack. We’re still here playing. ??

Hey, so I Really love the app and the update is great I’m so excited to finally have new stuff to do! But when I opened the app the other day... nothing no puzzles, store, the cat doesn’t look how i had it set, and all of the values on the home screen are maxed out at 999... Please fix this, I would love to keep playing!

Finally an update! Unfortunately it is glitchy and wipes all your progress. After completing puzzles it will freeze so I cannot play another puzzle. Then after closing the app, it wipes all progress and won’t load anything. I’ve had to actually delete the app and reload it to reconnect with Facebook to get all my puzzles back and play the game again. Also the Tuesday grids are not working. It says there is a new one but won’t load it to play. Then later in the week it says it’s been completed when I didn’t do the puzzle at all! I love the game so please fix these annoying bugs!

I created an account to save my progress and had to redownload the app again but the restore button doesn’t work? Or am I doing it wrong? Any help would be great, other than that, I love the game!

My husband and I started playing this game earlier this year. We loved everything about it, including the adorable animations when you are filling in a puzzle and the cat gets so happy! But with the recent updates everything has changed so much. The feel of the game is just completely different. I’m sure a lot of people like the new changes, but honestly, if I could, I’d go back and get the old version just with the additional puzzles added. We still play the game, but my husband gets angry every time he notices the cat isn’t smiling at him. :P

I love this game! Been playing for years! But with this new update I redid all the previous Tuesday grids and finished them but the progress bar shows I haven’t finished. Wondering what’s up?
