Bad product - don’t buy it! Hue is great until stop working

Alexa can’t find hue lights any longer, the app remote control does turn off or change scenes any longer, expensive just turn even more expensive. Has been long the same issues from all buyers and nothing has been done.

Using 2nd gen bridge(square), and 3rd gen A19 white and color ambience bulbs(from the starter kit), I never have connectivity problems. Runs so much better and is more responsive than the original hue app which I only used to set up connectivity with Siri. Only thing though... if I want to turn on or off the lights via the lock screen widgets, the phone shuts down like it ran out of juice for a few seconds. It doesn't happen every single time but pretty often. That doesn't happen when the phone is unlocked though. Clean interface and great reliability overall.

The beauty of Huemote lies in its simplicity, which in turn makes it incredible fast. I've tried countless different apps. Most are better at giving you fancy themes and animated settings. None connect as fast as Huemote, allowing you to access individual lights and groups quickly. As a bonus, the Watch app is also fantastic. Again, it's simple, easy to use, and allows you to control individual lights. Bottom line: This should be your go to app for fast easy Hue control.

Been using this for about a year it's a little bit difficult to learn and dial in, but once you do it works really well. It does not let you set up or program hue switches though, just the lights. Very easy to use otherwise after you get the hang of it. Unfortunately, you need to keep the regular Phillips hue app on you phone though in case you need to access a setting somewhere that this app doesn't cover. (Like add a switch). Overall, I love it.

1/15/2017 update: still very happy with this app. Puts the official Hue app to shame. Provides all the features of the official Hue app but much better and more flexible. The widget feature and scenes are awesome updates!
